Cache issues when loading pages from Google
-
Starting about 1 month ago, loading certain pages in Vivaldi if coming from google causes the page to not load correctly. While 1 or 2 elements of the page might appear, it's very often an entirely white page. If typing the URL manually after clearing the browser's cache, the page loads entirely correctly, but not when navigating from Google. I've already determined that using other search engines with Vivaldi does not cause this issue, so I'm inquiring if anyone could provide me more insight into why this happens and a potential fix that would allow me to still use google.
For one example of a website this happens with, googling the name of any Pokemon and using the first link to Serebii will result in this issue for me. I also had it happen with navigating to a Black Screen Records product page. All of these pages loaded correctly when using a search engine that was not Google.

Using a clean profile does fix the issue, but wouldn't that still be a bug, because it does seem to defeat the purpose of all the customization of Vivaldi if every few months I have to start over because it breaks and stops functioning normally. This seems to be a rather serious issue and something I would hope would be fixed.

Usually, the problems come from the user's side.
Extensions, not cleaning Cache from time to time...
Sometimes from Website modifications that needs cleaning Site Data/Cache.And also from a Bug.
If works in a Clean Profile, something has messed on the Profile.
Did you tried disabling each part one by one to finde the problem?I've not faced problems in many profiles during years, but clean the Profile once every X time is good too.
I always keep Bckps to avoid loosing Data by whatever reason or be affected by Bugs
What I could recommend is to make Backups and a Template Profile, so anytime you may need to start over you are at 90-100% ready to go.

I will go attempt to go through one by one and see if I can isolate the issue. Either way, making a backup profile to restore from when things go bad is a pretty good idea, as I do like Vivaldi and would like to continue using it. I was just concerned that this might continue happening, but if the fix only takes a few minutes, then it would be something I don't take great issue with.
Thank you for all your help and the suggestion

To Bckp the Profile/Settings is something needed and useful for any valuable software you use.
You'll be safe of any OS, update, bug, energy... problem that would eventually happen.
On the tip there's info about the Bckp and Template
