Synology Drive spreadsheet - Ctrl+Tab does not move you to next tab
-
Hello,
I am cycling through many tabs. One of them is opened spreadsheet document from Synology Drive. As soon as tab with this spreadsheet is activated, next Ctrl+Tab is converted to TAB in spreadsheet and active cell in spreadsheet is moved to the next one. But Ctrl+Tab action is lost for vivaldi and I cannot move out from this tab to next one. How to prevent converting Ctrl+Tab to Tab in spreadsheet and keep tab switching working. This is vivaldi related bug because firefox, edge, opera works just ok.Anyone can help?
Regards -

Some useful links for you:

@jakubbukaj Which Vivaldi version?
Which program is used on Synology Drive to display the spreadsheet? Which Synology DSM version? -
@DoctorG
Hello,
Vivaldi version: 5.3.2679.70 (Stable channel) (64-bit)
Synology Drive Server is used to display spreadsheets. Version: 3.1.0 - 22920
Synology version: DSM 7.1-42661 - Update 3 -
@jakubbukaj An how can you display such file in a Vivaldi tab? With a extension?
All my CSV or XLS files i have to open in external LibreOffice.
Do you use Synology Office to display spreadsheet in Vivaldi tab? -
@DoctorG
Hello, internal spreadsheet editor from synology drive.
-
@jakubbukaj said in Synology Drive spreadsheet - Ctrl+Tab does not move you to next tab:
internal spreadsheet editor from synology drive.
Strange.
For which file type can you edit?
I do not have such internal editor such in Synology Drive.
I do not know how you activate such editor and which software you installed on your Synology. -
@DoctorG
For synology drive there is build-in Synology Office editor. File extension of spreadsheet document is ".osheet". -
@jakubbukaj I can confirm that editor Synology Office catches Ctrl+Tab to move to next cell.
Unfortunately the Synology Office editor does not have any setting to change key shortcuts.
You have to change Vivaldi Settings → Keyboard for "Next Tab" and "Previous Tab". -
I reported this as bug VB-90688 "Tabswitching can not be done if tab opened as Synology Office spreadsheet"

@DoctorG
Hello, strange that other browsers (Edge, Opera, Firefox) handles Ctrl+Tab correctly.Changing shortcut for Next/Previous tab is obviously working workaround but this breaks user experience between browsers. Could be this issue solved in any future release of Vivaldi (any time estimate would be appreciated) or this is out of discussion?
Thank you

@jakubbukaj Yes, it is a Vivaldi-only bug.
I can not test at this time, but does Ctrl+Pg↓ and Ctrl+Pg↑ works for you to switch tab?
-
@DoctorG
Not working for tab switching.
Ctrl+Pg↓ and Ctrl+Pg↑ is translated as Pg↓ and Pg↑ in spreadsheet editor. -
@jakubbukaj Sad
-
@jakubbukaj Had you tried now with 6.0 Snapshot/Stable?
I can not check on my Synology DSM. -
@DoctorG Hello, on build 6.0.2979.3 (Stable channel) (64-bit) issue still persists.
-
@jakubbukaj I updated bug tracker for 6.0 version.
-
I have similar problem outside spreadsheets, inside the regular DSM interface (the "desktop").
If the Widgets panel is focused, Ctrl+Tab will hide it and change tab, and Ctrl+Shift+Tab will hide it without changing tab.
When Widgets is not focused, I usually have to press Ctrl+(Shift+)Tab twice to change tab from DSM tab.
I have DSM 6.2.4 (not upgradable to 7.x).
No problem with Ctrl+PageUp/PageDown, it's just that I am not used to these shortcuts.
-
@jesus2099 I updated tracker for 6.1 Stable.
-
I have tried to uncheck the Enable desktop keyboard shortcuts option in the DSM user preferences (and reloaded DSM with F5).
It didn't change a thing.
When focusing the Widgets popup, hitting Ctrl+Shift+Tab hides it and I stay in current tab instead of switching to previous tab without interfering with current tab content.
I thought it was really a problem with Synology, not with Vivaldi.
But strangely this problem does not happen in Edge.Vivaldi 6.1.3035.84 (Stable channel) (64-bit)
Edge 114.0.1823.51 (Version officielle) (64 bits)
I cannot find the list of Synology DSM (6.2) so called desktop keyboard shortcuts.
They say to press Shift+? but nothing happens on my French AZERTY keyboard.
If someone with QWERTY keyboard maybe could show me the list?
