You can't find it because it does not exist. The option to Disable Audio and Video Autoplay should be available on every web browser for both computers (Windows, Mac AND Linux) and mobile devices (iOS and Android) and it should be ENABLED BY DEFAULT. Being forced to use an extension for a setting that is needed as much as this is insane. I have installed "Disable HTML5 Autoplay (Reloaded)", but it does not work for everything. This option needs to be provided yesterday.

I realize that the discussion on this topic has been going on for quite awhile now, & I'm sure from a developers point of view that changes need to be put in some kind of prioritized order. Sure, it would be nice to have a setting available to prevent video's (especially html5 ones) from autoplaying. But unfortunately this item seems to be very low on the priorities list, and of course I DO realize that the people behind this browser just don't want to be considered 'copy cats' & implement a feature the same as a different chromium browser uses. But at least for me, since I do in fact use more than one chromium based browser, one of which has a very nice feature included with it. That is when you click on the little 'lock' icon in the address bar & select site settings, there's an setting in that group dealing with auto play, you can choose if you want to allow it for that site, as well as in the main settings area there's also a system wide setting as to autoplay, makes everything SO nice. I guess for now at least for me I'll just continue to utilize an extension: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/disable-html5-autoplay-re/cafckninonjkogajnihihlnnimmkndgf to deal with this issue. -

One website turned their autoplay setting off so I wanted to check whether this function is available in Vivaldi or not. Hopefully it gets added in the near future!

Just to clarify, the option does not yet exist as I originally thought this post suggested. Rather, this appears to be a request to add a checkbox in the Vivaldi settings that disables auto-play of videos on all websites, with which I wholeheartedly agree! The absence of such an option is absolutely infuriating & seems to demonstrate that Vivaldi developers are in league with the Dark Side, so they had better act quickly if they don't want to be perceived that way.
Since some video conferencing sites require auto-play to function properly, there should also be whitelist of sites that are allowed to auto-play.

It is 2022 and Vivaldi still doesn't have an in-house option for this, forcing users to still rely on unmaintained or predatory browser extensions that sells you data. Come on...

I support this - a tick box in settings would do the trick. If you can't stop autoplay how about an option to prevent the video loading / displaying, with an option to override and view / play the video on a case by case basis.
