Should check on my mint VM, just in case.
And... with mint VM works fine

Retried now at home (Win7 32bit, quadcore i5 3.3ghz, nvidia GT 710)
https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x749zeo
without HW acceleration enabled it doesn't react, with HW acceleration enabled it plays!!
But, this other video
https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x74p3md
still requires a faked UA to work, either with an extension of via dev tools network conditions.
At least now I see that it really requires a proper accelerated card for it to work, and they actually still actively block Vivaldi. -
Will you fix bugs in 2.4 version?
-
@Merser Yes, the Vivaldi team will release updates to Vivaldi 2.4 (Stable) containing fixes for significant bugs as well as any updates to the Chromium 73 base code.

Three Issues with Tab Selection
- Selecting tabs is OK, but deselecting them is not possible using the keyboard AFAICT
- The Shortcut Ctrl+A can be assigned to Select Related Tabs, but still selects everything on the page. A problem similar to the one that I already reported with Shift+F10 (VB-35751)
- The position of the commands on the Settings dialogue might be better placed above Tiling and Tab Stacking commands, but after the Move Tab Commands or after the Switch to Last Tab command.

@iAN-CooG and infact nothing changes disabling Use Hardware Acceleration when available
For those who have "Video decode: Unavailable" in vivaldi://gpu :
vivaldi://flags/#ignore-gpu-blacklist
Does it change the behavior if you "Enable" it?On my 8 y.o. test machine with on AMD HD3300 board graphics it works, so maybe you are lucky and it works too ...
-
@QuHno I'll try tomorrow on the work PC, thanks
-
@pesala Thanks for your comments! Though selection can be canceled by switching tabs, we are adding "Deselect Tabs" command to complement the others.
For tab selection, you might need to use keyboard shortcuts that don't interfere with text selection, so it works with focus on page or in input field as well.
Good point on sorting.
-
@miky Ctrl+Tab works, but Escape might be better.
If Ctrl+Shift+Right selects tabs to the right and Ctrl+Shift+Left selects tabs to the left, I would expect to be able to undo the last tab selected to the right by using Ctrl+Shift+Left, and vice versa if selecting tabs to the left.
Users could easily press either shortcut once too often if selecting many tabs, and they should not need to deselect all of the tabs then start over again if making a mistake.

Locked Speed Dials as an option would be an amazing and super beneficial feature that makes it easier on people with mental illness. Will we see that soon?
-
@Vividal The feature request is already a year old, and has some votes, but there is no indication that the developers are working on it yet (i.e. it is not tagged as IN PROGRESS).
I see that you have already voted for it, and commented on it.

Is anyone else unable to open the download links in the following KB article if they middle-click on them to open them in a background tab?
https://help.emsisoft.com/en/1597/download-installation/For me, the links work fine if I left-click on them normally, and the URL's work fine if I copy and paste them into a new tab. They only fail when I middle-click on them.
When I middle-click on the links, it opens a new tab with the URL in the address bar, but the tab is empty and nothing ever appears to try to load.

Based on @ruario's post, hopefully next SS will resolve this natively. What a strange site DM is. -
-
@gt500:
Confirmed here.
Middle clicking on the links results in a blank tab. -
@pesala: So voting is getting nowhere. This feature really should be in and especially if the dragging portion is flawed.
-
@Vividal I would not say that: 104 Features are tagged as DONE in about a year.
There are at least 1,600 feature requests, and fewer than 20 developers, so progress is slow. I listed a few that should be Easy to Fix, but only the developers can know for sure. Voting is only a rough guide to how many users want a feature, not how likely it is to be fixed.
The context menu on bookmarks folder request was only recently implemented after at least 3 years of asking and over 200 votes.

That's the trick! Now dailymotion also plays on my work PC with just Intel onboard graphics!
-
@QuHno I am in the case you describe (Video decode: Unavailable on 2 old laptops).
And unfortunately not. I have activated all the flags (separately and then with some combinations): None of the flags related to gpu gives satisfaction. -
Do we have a "Stack tabs by host" or "Stack current tab by host" command in the Quick Commands whenever we have more than one tab per domain?
