Let's bring Back the Old Design a Little Bit
-
I Remember the First Time, I use Vivaldi, it was very unique, with very distinguished icons and a very distinguished design, through the pass of time, Vivaldi has been getting a kind of like more mainstream copycat browser design similar to other chromium browsers... specifically Edge, but don't get me wrong.
I'm not saying that the actual design is bad, but.. if now we have the option to customize almost everything in the browser, most of the icons for example.
I want to see if is possible to bring back some of the old Vivaldi's characteristics in the design for example the button to add a new tab use to be very unique, and squared like this:
compare to how it is now:
There use to be little Vivaldi logo in the address bar, and it looked great:
The icons in the address bar and in general use to be different, kind of like more unique and original:
I remember in 2021, how my Vivaldi looked at the time, it was amazing:
now it is more like a Microsoft Edge copycat, I mean, is not that bad.. but I think is a little bit less.. attractive, I'm not saying get rid of the actual design, I'm just proposing, to have the option for using the old elements of the old design if we want, or even the whole older design in general.
Anyway if there's a way to do that already, I hope someone can explain it to me.
And, yes. I know it is possible now to change your icons for some from your preference, but what I'm trying to say is to have them already integrated in the options for optional use.

Hi, you can even use a Windows 95 theme, looks really weird.
Search them themes page a bit.https://themes.vivaldi.net/new
This is Linux KDE theme and icons:
Cheers, mib
EDIT: I guess this will not happen, the same as Windows 11 user ask for Windows 10 design back. -
@mib2berlin thanks for referring that link, I use Nobara which is a Fedora based distro, and the DE I use KDE which is my favorite, and I use Windows 11 too.
Yeah I guess that's the new design and we must accept it, but it is not a bad idea to let the users use the elements from the previous design versions, you know.. like kind of already integrated in the browser. Or if they can provide us with a link for downloading a theme that includes those elements.
EDIT: But I don't mind if this proposition never gets in the mind of the developers, it is still a great browser, and it let's you have tons of options and freedom, I still love it.

I am sorry, you have to search yourself, no time for this.
Install an old version of Vivaldi as standalone install and copy the icons, the path on Windows is:Application/6.0.2979.25/resources/vivaldi/resources/
Don´t install older version over the new one.
