Vivaldi blocks my "new tab page" Chrome extension
-
I am developing a new-tab-page Chrome extension (a bit like "speed dial"). It works just fine in Chrome, Edge, Brave, Kiwi and Opera. On Vivaldi it works initially but if I close Vivaldi then upon reopening I find that my new-tab page is blocked with the message "This page has been blocked by Vivaldi - ERR_BLOCKED_BY_CLIENT".
... any idea how to get round this?

@reissgo Which internal URL has the "blocked page"?
ERR_BLOCKED_BY_CLIENT
Do you see this in page or developer tools?
Could be the Vivaldi Blocker. -
The URL of the page being blocked is like this:
"chrome-extension://dicegaaklehiejjngpbapbgcbiddjaoe/newtab.htm"
I see the message directly on the page, not dev tools.

I just reset all vivaldi settings and started again with blocker off and now it is working. Thank you.

@reissgo I never saw that Vivaldi Blocker blocked a extensions page.
-
@reissgo Would you care to share your extension-in-progress so we could test?
I doubt it's the adblocker but possible I guess.
Vivaldi does have issues with newtab extensions, when opening new windows and stuff like that. -
I don't want to make it public just yet, but if you dm me I'll give you a link.
