Can we have the ability to save workspaces like FIrefox Tree tabs?
-
So firefox 's tree tabs are flat out incredible. YOu can save tab trees (nested tabs) as "bookmarks" so when you desire to open up a set of pages, you can do so in a single click, and you can configure it in such a way that can save you several minutes of setup time for each browser instance
Workspaces are a feature that is a step in the right direction, but not having the ability save workspaces is a bit of a loss here, as it could really boost the users ability to access multiple, preset tabs in very few clicks.
Can we ever expect something like saving workspaces to a cache file on the users local system so that they can reopen them, or is the API prohibitive to doing so?
Thanks in advance for reviewing this!

, but which has the additional benefit of...
it'd be wonderful if vivaldi gained such additional functionalities. -
@ghostw4ve, you can look into Saved Sessions.
We're currently working on improving the Sessions feature. If you don't mind some bugs, you can enable the Sessions Panel in vivaldi://experiments to take a glimpse at the upcoming changes. -
@jane-n Hi Jane! Yes, thanks for the information! The sessions feature is exactly what I want, although it appears to have loose integration with the workspaces feature. So glad that vivaldi has the feature, it's incredibly powerful and a massive timesaver.
Now that I have you at this moment in time, when are we gonna get that HTML element screenshot capture features (like with firefox's screenshot feature)
-
@ghostw4ve No ETA.
Are you familiar with our Screen Capture feature's selection option?
-
@jane-n Yes! It's nice, however, firefox has the ability to "autoselect" those html/css elements, which is more useful than attempting to drag over elements with precision. This would be a very desireable feature, especially for those who make flashcards or take notes of webpages frequently.
Also, I enabled the sessions panel option through the panel toolbar customization menu, atlhough when I open up session, nothing seems to show in the container. Is there anything that I am doing wrong? Have a look at the image below and let me know what you think

@ghostw4ve Vote for Capture Page Elements.

@ghostw4ve
Does a session open via Files menu?Also, what do you mean by a container? That seems to be a Firefox term.
