Workspaces Multi-Window mode
-
Upvoted also.
I have workspaces organized by projects and different tab stacks in a workspace with related items to a project but organized by design vs code etc. I can't open the design stuff and code stuff in two different windows... -
Upvoted. Should be like this or optional

EDIT:
I opened a new window, and then was able to select another workspace, all good! Thank you Vivaldi!I was trying to CTRL+CLICK and SHIFT+CLICK and other combinations on the drop down selector to open in new window.
Recommend closing this Feature Request as done.
ORIGINAL (INACCURATE):
Upvoted again please! Switching to Vivaldi for several months, off and on. It ultimately won over Brave as an alternate to Edge (great for work as we are on 365) for my personal browsing. LOVE THE CUSTOMIZATION. The hotkeys. THE COMMAND CHAINS (so that I can put hotkeys as a button in my toolbar). So much. It's also OVERWHELMING though, probably why I was slow to change. Either way, would like two workspaces right now, similar to how I can have two edge profiles...ohhhhh maybe that's the answer...another profile. Anyways, thank you. -
I still thing this future request is very much needed.
Upvote.@gregsweats we asking for an opportunity to have multiple windows opened all within one workspace. Not just multiple workspaces
I need this bc it was very handy to set up rules what domains to open in which workspace, but now if i try to work on something requiring two windows my tabs keep jumping to the original workspace window.

I come from arc browser on mac and looking for something similar in Linux.
I have two monitors and it was very handy to have both workspaces (I don't remember how it was called in arc) with the same tabs.

Does not opening a new Window (File>New Window) work for you?
And then in new window, opening the relevant workspace.I was actually looking to have different Vivaldi workspaces always connected to different operating system desktops, as the process I described is a bit ungainly.

yes this idea! Sideberry is basically the perfect version of workspaces and I wish we had more of their implementation

Upvoting. The one-window limit renders workspaces effectively useless for me.

I created an account just so I could upvote this. Having multiple monitors makes it so difficult to use workspaces without this addition.

Upvoting. This is legitimately the only thing that holds Vivaldi back from being strictly better then every other browser for me, but it's a near dealbreaker. It greatly diminishes the usefulness of having certain domains automatically open in certain workspaces, as well.
When set up to allow more than one window for a given workspace, it should also be designed in such a way that when tabs open up in a workspace, and you already have another window in that workspace, it doesn't switch your focus to that window and instead switches to that workspace in-window (though if others disagree, perhaps that should be a toggle); unexpected focus switching/window rearranging is the biggest reason I find myself struggling to use Orion.

I want this feature. I was working on my training workspace with a multi-monitor setup.
