Next level theming with custom icons, plus mail drag and drop – Vivaldi Browser snapshot 2955.3

That may be expected but it is not happening here.
So what does happen when you drag a message from one label view to another? Say, you are in the "later" label view, and from all those emails in the list you drag one over to "personal"? In my case the "later" Label is replaced with the "personal" label, so the email vanishes from the "later" view and appears in the "personal" view.

Vivaldi comes up with unique features and customization every time. Loving custom icons
-
@kshitijsubedi Customisability is one of the main reasons why we old-timers used to love Opera 12.18, and why we migrated to Vivaldi.
Those who don't appreciate how much time these features save complain about bloatware, and demand that the developers focus on fixing bugs, or making Vivaldi more like Edge or Chrome.
I used Opera from version 5.0 (IIRC) in 2003 (primarily for its built-in email client), until Vivaldi’s first Technical Preview was released in 2015.

Vivaldi still crushes when opening a popup windows (VB-95364). It's been happening for a few builds.
Also, tabs thumbnails preview is not working for me, although it is enabled in settings (VB-95923).
-
@mozzer
Hi, cant reproduce both, pop up:Preview, both options work, pop up and tab thumbnails.
Test this in a clean profile, create one or rename your profile folder for a test.Cheers, mib

Great, quick commands icons can now be customized as well. Now if it was only possible to use emojis as custom icons rather than having to do "the hard work" of creating individual icons externally.
-
@RadekPilich It already works with emojis. And even with gifs.
-
@stardepp I meant "Windows key + ." emojis. I haven't found a way how to put them as custom icon, nor is it mentioned in the documentation
-
@RadekPilich Download your desired emoji from this website and use it as a custom icon.
-
I am missing the show panels button on the taskbar in Linux.

@WildEnte I end up with an item that has both labels, i.e. "later" & "personal"

@saudiqbal the "Show Panels" button can now be found in the address bar at the very top left.
Right-click the address bar and remove this button. Right-click on the button bar and add the "Show Panels" button back.

Thanks for letting us(users) be creative!

Thank you, I like very much the new standard icons

Difficult to reproduce: After opening a Weblink (an Article) from within Workspaces, then linking this Article as a link on some social media-site, I finally have only one Window open with one Tab with this Article from Workspaces (one window as it seems) — before I had two or three Tabs open. Mail and Calendar Icons get lost in Panels and Statusbar. Get those back if I click „Compose New Message“ (Menu).
But here:
Mail is displayed in another window
The Vivaldi email client only runs in a single windowBut there is no other window I see! (???)
Edit:
Double-clicking „E-Mail“ in Windows Panel opens that Mail is displayed in another Window. But I see this Window only in Panels. Were is this Window E-Mail? As far as I can see it’s a Tab not a Window, because it opens in a new Tab. (???)
Edit/Edit:
The Window was directly behind a Foreground-Window, I assume. My fault. Getting used to this behaviour. -
@janrif
That should happen unless...- You've clicked the label folder in the panel
- Drag the message to another label
Then it should replace that label
Otherwise if you're in any other view/folder like Received or Unread or [email protected]/Inbox then dragging to a label should just add a new label and keep the old ones
-
The ability to change icons this way is welcome.
Can anyone confirm this bug for me as I'm not on a clean install. When opening the side panel with a video (tested on youtube) is playing, there is a flashing bar between the panel container and the panel switch. It goes away after a couple of seconds

Hi,
Just upgraded from 5.5 to 5.8.On Panels > Edit there's no scrollbar to move around a big list of items.
On small screens [12.5] here, the latest gets hidden with windows' taskbar.I've been missing from Snaps but no specific result on search.
Has this been reported?Thx

Yup! Works like a charm! Thanks so much for clarifying and for the option to move labeled items around so easily. Very nice addition to Vivaldi Mail.
