How to recover my TABs?
-
I've had two windows opened, one with 100+ tabs and one with 1 tab, I closed them in wrong order by accident, i.e. 100tab window first then 1 tab window.
Now I open the browser and all TABs are gone, of course!
There are none in the bin, neither are in the history.
How do I recover my damned tabs?How come the browser does not have the session backup feature if it's so unreliable in that regard? Am I supposed to save my sessions manually every few hours?

@dezdem Open the Window panel there you have all closed windows and tabs.
-
@DoctorG I don't have them there
-
@dezdem In 5.6 Stable the tabs and windows appear only after restart in the Window panel.
I tested 5.7 Snapshot and all Closed Tabs and Windows with Tabs are there. -
@DoctorG and mine are not.
I have 4 files in the User Data\Default\Sessions
Session_13320504544960031
Tabs_13320504545074643
corresponding to the current session, the other two with similar names perhaps for the lost one, judging by the size of the Session_13320503275201496 file, it's 8mb.Am I right? If so how can I restore it from these files?

@DoctorG I don't run Vivaldi as a background process.
-
@dezdem I can not tell if thees threads will help you:

- https://forum.vivaldi.net/topic/21315/restore-last-session
I never had session loss and as a tester i am using the daily tester versions of Vivaldi. So there was no need to check if session restore works for me.

Chromagnon worked, thanks. I've been using Vivaldi from the very first beta releases and had lost my tabs dozens of times throughout the years. Devs simply ignoring the issue.

@Zalex108 many thanks! I'd been using a similar thing for Firefox years ago.
