Vivaldi doesn't fit on my screen after new update
So, I just restarted to update Vivaldi, and after it opens again, something's odd. First, my scrollbar looks thinner, then I can't raise my taskbar when moving my cursor over the bottom of the screen (I use hidden taskbar, that feature which only shows your taskbar when you mouse over it) and even my little account picture is cut a bit. Now it looks like this:
I tried to change the UI zoom level but it doesn't seem to affect at all.

@Shiimabun Which Vivaldi & Windows version?
-
There are ways in Windows to resize a window using the keyboard ... though I note in the top right-hand corner that the window thinks it is maximized. Maybe restoring it and then re-maximizing would fix it?
-
@sgunhouse I tried that and it still doesn't work, I can kinda do it if I strectch it in windowed mode, but then there are some things that also bug me like the small space over the tabs.
-
@DoctorG Here
I'll try to reinstall it, since I also needed to do it since it didn't install in the Program Files folder, so I can't set it as default browser. -
Same issue on Windows 7 SP1
-
Just upgraded five minutes ago and have the same problem on Windows 8.1 - Maximised windows are bigger than the screen.
-
I have this same issue on Windows 8.1. Scrollbar is suddenly narrow and the bottom of the window is hidden under my Windows taskbar.
-
Win 8.1 same issues. Left, bottom and right "border padding" is missing from the maximized window.
-
@AlexeyB A fix for the issue is in progress as i saw yesterday in internal bug tracker.

@DoctorG looks suspiciously like it may be related to the miscalculation of actual and active window size.
Let's hope for a drive-by fix for fullscreen and native window mouse area.
-
I've noticed another change in behaviour that may be related to this bug. I still use Opera 12 for Email, and when it gets new mail a pop-up appears in the bottom-right of the screen no matter what other program I'm viewing at the time. However, this pop-up no longer appears over Vivaldi. I only know I have new mail because Opera also plays a sound effect.
-
@FatProtea That is the native Windows notification. It is always at bottom-right of Windows task bar.

@Shiimabun If you change the desktop theme to Windows Classic, do you also get a line of missing pixels in the center of the window? That seems to be related to this window size issue too.
-
@jwt27 It fixes the size, but I still cannot make the taskbar appear, it's as if I was using Vivaldi in fullscreen or something.
-
@FatProtea said in Vivaldi doesn't fit on my screen after new update:

I also have the same problem on Win 8.1, I assumed that perhaps it was only a problem on 1024*768 screen resolutions. But come on guys, this is a major blunder.
