Crashes + DMP file
-
Vivaldi crashes as it starts and creates a DMP file. The Vivaldi window flashes on the screen so fast nothing is visible.
It was the latest version - 5.6.2867.36 from Explorer
Operating System: Windows 10 (x64)
Vivaldi does not complete the startup.
A fresh install of the Standalone version performs the same - although appears to crash quicker.
What can I do?
There are a dozen DMP files. One each time I reboot, reload, restart.--

@grahamgadget Seems your update to 5.6....40 is broken.
Can happen if security software blocks start or update.Try to uninstall (do not let delete browser profile data after deinstallation) Vivaldi and reinstall with installer from download page vivaldi.com.

@DoctorG Thanks for the info.
I did do this but Vivaldi still crashes on startup.
How do I see what is happening with Key: VB-93579? -
@grahamgadget
Hi, as it was reported 3 days ago and we at weekend it is unconfirmed in the bug tracker.
The bug tracker is not public but you can ask in the bug status thread:https://forum.vivaldi.net/topic/27450/what-is-the-status-of-vb-already-reported-bug-issue/
Cheers, mib

Ask me from time to time (not daily, try after 2 weeks, bugs are not fixed so fast by small team) at end of thread "What is the status of VB (=already reported bug/issue)?".

@DoctorG Has there been any work on VB-93579?
I have updated to 5.6.2867.50 but it still crashes on startup.
It did work when first installed but reverted to the faulty behaviour after a reboot. -
