Option to set geolocation manually
-
Since currently it's not possible for Vivaldi to get geolocation based on the list of available Wi-Fi networks, I suggest adding ability to configure it manually. Documentation suggests using Developer Tools in order to manually set geolocation that I prefer, but it's not particularly useful - in order to do that, I need to open DevTools each time when I need to provide access to geolocation.
Instead, I suggest adding such option to the browser settings (under "Privacy", I think) so that it always works without accessing Developer Tools.
Ultimately this feature can also help users keep their privacy even when Vivaldi eventually finds a replacement for the geolocation provider - being able to spoof your geolocation is definitely more secure than trusting even the most trustful geolocation provider your data.

@modifier Vivaldi uses the location service of the OS. Works nice on Windows 11, Linux does not have a location service after Mozilla blocked all non-Mozilla browsers to use it.
May be a Chrome extension can help users.
Adding a setting into Vivaldi can cause complications every update of Chromium core, currently too much work for small Vivaldi team. -
@DoctorG Not bad for a presumed open service run from a foundation. Fun fact: the wiki of MLS is very outdated
