Option for portable email client

Hi vivaldi team,

I would like to use the Vivaldi and here especially your email client in a portable version, so that the browser / mail client on a USB stick is usable from different computers / Accouints .

Currently as I unterstood, are mail passwords not transferable between different computers.

You can use Vivaldi in its portable version (Standalone) without any problem. The installer itself brings the option, I invite you to visit the following help page.

Regarding the email, you will have to enter manually in each account where you install, since, for security reasons, the data is not synchronized or saved.

I tried it - Vivaldi on USB stick:

Computer A: Email access data entered - works
Computer B: Email access data entered - works
Computer A: email account passwords no longer exist

Any advice? Something I can check?

Mail client is not portable (yet!) and it is necessary
to renew mail accounts for every new computer!?

It's interesting that the Vivaldi Team Member ignored the thread after replying.

Is it possible to use Vivaldi email portable on multiple PCs? and if not why not?
With Thunderbird it works fine?

@Rich3w Why should the Vivaldi team member need to repeat the answer? It was already given: “For security reasons, the data is not synchronised or saved?”

So, you can install Vivaldi as a Standalone version, but the email accounts will need to be added for each version.

Hi, Unfortunately the developers have decided to mark this request as "Will not do", which means this request won't be implemented in Vivaldi.
