@pathduck how to do that URL? Can you show us? 'Cuz there's more bugs with every update of Vivaldi and I'm tired of waiting for a fix. And you should write down how to make or check that URL by itself instead of every single interested person writing to you asking for help.

@kryllyn Just press F12, network tab, reload the page, find the first HTML request, click it and copy the Request URL. Use that for New Tab Page in settings or mix it up how you want it.

Should work for most new tab extensions, maybe not all - you'll figure it out. Point is to find the URL the extension uses for its start page.

And look, you might as well tell me the extension (and its store URL), I can dig it out for you in a couple mins. It's gonna take me much longer to write an ~~idiot~~ fool-proof guide and I'd still be asked "I make what you say but it no worky for me (cry)" a hundred times.

I understand your argument here. Nevertheless I don't know how often you're visiting forum even though you're a moderator and if you'll respond, and how quickly. If I need to rely on others, I usually looking for answers somewhere else instead. Asking is the last resort
And additionally I prefer getting a fishing rod instead of a fish

I'm new to Vivaldi, And was experimenting with it the past few days.

Currently i'm using extensions to manage the new tab. Muzli or Panda for example.
And i noticed that whenever i activate the option of "Controlled by extension" i noticed a few things don't work immediately.

First, The start page shows the same new tab content, But nothing is clickable. Just a view.

Second, History page shows a blank page with address bar showing "vivaldi://history/" and that's it. The only way to access history is through the left panel shortcut.

Third, Bookmarks page shows a blank page with address bar showing "vivaldi://bookmarks//" just like the problem with history page.

These issues are present as long as i have this option activated. and everything goes back to normal as soon as i deactivate it.

I didn't find a similar problem in the forums but a few related issues. not exactly my case.
Hope to find a solution for it.

@ayespy Hey, is there any update on whether or not this will be fixed? I need to come back from Firefox, it is too slow and lags too much. I think it's because of how many bookmarks I have. I have a ton of them.

@sojaquad I'm not aware that there is currently a confirmed bug that bookmarks won't display in the Bookmarks tab.

@sojaquad What version are you running? I think that bug was fixed ages ago. Perhaps you need to refresh your profile.

It's been a 4 months or even more so, since first reports about this bug. It still isn't fixed.
I understand it's minority that have this issue but it's still an issue that disturbs core functionality of a web browser, of Vivaldi.

@pafflick any news about the bug VB-85041?
It's almost exactly four months ago that you gave me information that developers are aware of the issue - what has changed?

The tabliss extension breaks the bookmarks manager functionality. (vivaldi://bookmarks/)
The bookmarks manager is just blank. If you disable the extension it works fine.
This doesn't break anything in any other chrome based browser so I'm guessing this is a bug in vivaldi?
Is there any way to fix it or any alternatives to tabliss that anyone can recommend?

@kryllyn Huh, thought this bug was fixed. Might be a regression.

What extension are you using? I (or someone else) can give you the workaround URL if you don't already have it.

@KawaiiDesu This is an old bug that I thought was fixed. It could be a regression or maybe the fix never actually happened.

See this thread for a workaround and use this URL for the tabliss extension:

It wasn't fixed. I checked every update and it wasn't there.
I'm using Speed Dial 2, and I have a workaround but I hoped it will be fixed by now...
