PDF Viewer

I've been looking everywhere, but can't find any setting to change the Vivaldi-behaviour when a PDF-link is clicked.
Vivaldi only downloads the PDF, nothing else. I'm using Vivaldi 4.1.2369.11 (Stable channel) (64-bit).
My preference is to be able to define an external program (actually I use PDF-Xchange Viewer)
Where can I change it in Vivaldi ?
Thanks

@darwin4ever You can set Vivaldi as the default app for PDF in Windows:

- Disable the PDF Plugin in Settings, Webpages
- Set PDF-XChange Editor as your default viewer for PDF files
- Click on Open when the download dialog opens
-
@stardepp
It's the other way around. I have in Windows the .pdf set to my external program PDF-xchange-Viewer.
That works everywhere.I checked the same PDF-link on the same page in :
- Firefox : asks what to do, open In Firefox, open with external program or save the pdf
- Vivaldi : downloads the pdf, and that's it (does not open at all)
-
@pesala
The PDF Plugin is already disabled, but there seems no setting in Vivaldi for the default external viewer.
As already mentionned, In Windows .pdf is defined -
@darwin4ever The default setting for PDF files is found in Windows settings.
-
@Pesala
So why doesn't Vivaldi use it ? It's specified correctly there ! -
@darwin4ever Go to Settings > Downloads and uncheck "Save files to default location without asking".
Then click Open in the download dialog for PDFs. It will download the file to the default location and then open it in your default viewer.
-
@darwin4ever Don't you see the download dialog?
If you click on Open it will open in PDF-XChange Editor.
I also use PDF-XChange Editor.

@Pathduck
Thanks ! That's the solution.I recognize that popup and that setting should have been disabled. It was before, I'm sure.
Somehow I assume the last Vivaldi-update might have enabled it again. Can't see another reason, I didn't modify it.
But anyhow, it's solved.
Thanks2all !
