Screen capture mark ups and screen record video

Hi there

Apologies if I've missed this somewhere (few quick searches hasn't revealed so far).

I have been using the screen capture tool which is super fast and useful.

1. I'm needing to markup my screenshots though. e.g. draw an arrow, and write some notes etc. Is that possible?

2. Record short video clips - I do some application testing and sometimes it's easier to communicate issues screen recording short clips rather than lots of screenshots.

Any help would be appreciated.

@jenvk No, this is not possible unless you use a third-part application such as FastStone Capture. You need to pay for Windows Media Video capture.

ShareX is free and opensource, and will record as animated GIF.

Maybe other applications are free, or available for OS other than Windows.

Just for drawing, double-click the screen capture (it will be selected in your OS file explorer, and open it in an image editing program to add lines, etc.

As I know, many paid screen recorder can meet your need, such as Screencast-O-Matic‘s Screen Recorder, filmora wondershare, Snagit, RecMaster, etc. You can try a few more to find the one that suits you.
