Command chains – Vivaldi Browser snapshot 2350.3

Auto update went well -
@chas4: cool
-
@ruarí Cool! The one more level of customization would be to allow execution of javascript in the chain command.
-
@code3: Oh but we do!
See my reply to this 3 year old thread for an example.
-
@juanvase: I gave @Chas4 a generic sports medal instead
-
@juanvase: well if you switch to it imemdiately then would not be background, it would be foreground. So you mean middle click to open in foreground surely? But no

chain multiple commands together
Wow, so cool! This is the kind of stuff I love for a power-user browser!
[Autoupdate] Show reason for update errors (VB-81359)
Probably a good idea!
[macOS][Windows] AAC audio fails on embedded videos following Chromium 92 upgrade (VB-81058)

@ruarí That's great! But all this javascript in the address bar is not a good look. This happens for bookmarklets too. Is it in the bug tracker or do I need to report it?

@ruarí js to switch to newest created tab???
That would require JS executed in the UI I think, maybe this feature could be added later?

@ruarí what if I want to middle click on link and switch to background tab , is there js for this?
You mean middle click on link and open in background tab?
-
My first command chain: Toggle Address and Bookmark bar
Would be fantastic if the Mod Autohide bookmark bar will work in this case when there is no address bar.
-
@juanvase I think command chains can’t be triggered with a middle click. It would have to be a mouse gesture. And afaik there is already a mouse gesture that opens a link in foreground tab. If you switch to the tab directly it’s not a background tab.
-
@juanvase: You can swithc to the next tab with the cycler. You could make a single chained command for that but you could also just use the tab cycling shortcuts directly
-
@juanvase I guess you would need a simple userscript or extension to do this.
-
I'm happy to see this again:
-
Oh and it would be cool if we could have Chains in the Appearance settings for dropdown and context menus. After all, there's a limit to how many hotkeys one can remember, but with menus the possibilities would be endless

Things with popup windows became even worse with this release. As it was before, extensions were not working in popup windows. Now I cannot login - via a popup window - to sites even by using the stored to Vivaldi passwords. Popup windows are a true disaster in every new version for sometime now.

"Command chains"
OMG it's happening -
[macOS][Windows] AAC audio fails on embedded videos following Chromium 92 upgrade (VB-81058)
confirmed clips on twitch now playing audio again.

Yesssss ! YES !
