Search for text as I start typing
-
This is a very useful feature of FF and FF based browsers, e.g. Pale Moon. When a page has the focus , the search starts immediately when a user starts typing. The "Ctrl+F" step is skipped, which is more efficient.
I guess that whichever character key is pressed replaces "Ctrl+F" and starts the search with that very character. Another guess of mine is that this is easily implemented and has high impact. And it seems it does not interfere with any existing functionality of Vivaldi (like Ctrl+Click on a tab to clone it does).
Cheers!

@Rewel It does interfere, you forget about one key shortcuts and the fact that sites implement their own shortcuts, which are often one key as well. You can setup starting the search with a one key shortcut, which is what I do as well. But on some sites this won’t work, so you gotta assign a second combination with a modifier key additionally.

@Rewel This seems to be the same as Find in Page as you Type

@luetage My experience is different, no interference whatsoever. I've been using this since forever, 20 yrs+, and of course, this should be optional, set in the settings.

@Pesala Thanks for pointing it out. I did search across the forum before posting though
