More Window Drag Space Above Tabs
-
It seems there is only 1 pixel of drag space above tabs. If this space is meant to actually be used, it should be about 5 pixels
-
@kamryn Actually, it is 6-7 pixels, but it is infinite if the window is maximised since you can grab and drag the tab just by quickly moving your tab to the top of the screen even if you use Settings, Tabs, Tab Display, "Remove Tab Spacing in Maximized Windows."
However, if you're using a restored window, then this space above the tabs is unusable.

@Pesala I should have mentioned my post was about Vivaldi on Windows 10, maybe you're on another OS? The gif I attached shows there is only 1 pixel between the window resizing area and the top of the tab. You're right about the maximized windows but I only meant non-maximized windows.
Just saw your edit, this space is usable but only for one pixel, so I can see how many people wouldn't notice this drag space's existence. Even if this stayed at one pixel, i think vivaldi should have more space to drag the window, e.g. the empty area of the status bar and the side panel

@kamryn Yes, I edited my post just as you were replying.
You can grab the window at the other end of the tab bar after the last tab and before the trash can, but that space above the tabs is useless for dragging the window around.
The space is 6-7 pixels but it all seems to be used by the resizing cursor. Not even 1 pixel remains for dragging the window.

+1. I'll copy my feature request here, which isn't really a duplicate, but has a lot of overlap.
I regularly work with many tabs open, which leaves only a small sliver of space that can be grabbed for moving the window around. I think the spacing above the tabs should be increased by default when not maximized, so you can easily move the window around without accidentally clicking on a tab, or moving a tab out into a window by mistake (I move quickly, happens often). When maximized, this spacing should shrink to what it is now (1px?) because it is very easy to grab the window in this case by just moving the mouse to the top of the screen. Alternatively, this could be a configurable option.
Note: Use native window is not a suitable alternative to this, because you lose theming, tab color in title, and most importantly it wouldn't give you the vertical space when maximized.
