Option to whitelist cookies from deleting / clearing

This might sound counter-intuitive when using a browser like Vivaldi, but for example startpage.com requires you to store cookies so certain preferences can be kept.
Right now Vivaldi only keeps everything or deletes it all (depending on the settings off course).
I'd like to be able to use Delete All with every session, except for a few, trusted sites.

you can block all cookies and then switch cookies per site on
click the the secure badge at your adressline and change to cookies, there you can keep the desired cookies -
Or
chrome://settings/content/cookies
- category "Allow" -
Both instructions works fine.
The second one is more complete. Its displays a list of all
the blocked and allowed cookies -
Especially regarding Cookies but also regarding other settings I'm still struggling to understand the difference between the options and the displayed features in the Vivaldi-Settings-Windows and the ones shown on chrome://settings/content/cookies res. chrome://settings
If I remember correct there was a hint that some cookies can only be dealt with chrome://settings
I would love to gain a better understanding of this cookie-issues to set up an "save but still not too cumbersome" environment with well defined rules. Is this even possible without extensions?

There is only one difference, how the application is started (prefaced with chrome). Vivaldi inherent it, not permanently. Our UI is a working in progreess

Under the chrome:// page I see much more stored cookies than under the list of cookies in the Vivaldi-settings-window and it was even you who mentioned this difference here https://forum.vivaldi.net/post/188939

Where are you issuing the command above?
Typingchrome://page
on Vivaldi I got the following error:The webpage at chrome://page/ might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address.
chrome://settings/content/cookies is to manage exceptions, an embryonic project for the feature "Per Site"

@potmeklecbohdan can you open it anyway?

@lamarca Why should I be able to open it? All we need is to be able to open
chrome://settings
(or any subpage).OK, I maybe haven't described it clear: he's talking about the same page as we:
chrome://settings
, notchrome://page
orchrome:// page

Sorry I thought it was clear what I was talking about.
With "chrome:// page" I mean the settings I get when typing in the address field literally "chrome://settings"
With "Vivaldi-settings-window" I mean the Vivaldi-GUI when klicking on "Setting" within Vivaldi or typing Alt-P (and as I just found out typing "vivaldi://settings" in the address field)Alone the fact that is is so difficult to spell out how exactly to reach this different pages (and also that after typing in "chrome://settings" the address field changes to the URL "vivaldi://settings" which typed in by itself leads to a completely different page) is mind boggling to me.

@goedl This isn't resolved at all, your feature request is valid and makes sense, but it's a duplicate of my own: https://forum.vivaldi.net/topic/24235/better-cookie-management

@luetage I agree. I don't think it is resolved either. No feature request is resolved until it is tagged as DONE.
Tagged as a duplicate. Vote for the linked feature request. If there is any more to discuss, start a new thread in the other forums: All Platforms, or wherever is appropriate.
