Sort Tabs by Alphabetical Order
-
Hello,
Would it be possible to provide the option to sort tabs alphabetically, or sort the tabs in quick commands? The benefit would be that all tabs can be found and accessed more quickly.
For example, if I am experiencing difficulty on a particular domain and I need to close all open tabs for that domain, I would be able to do so more quickly. I know that I can type in a name in quick commands, and that will display all of the associated tabs, but the ability to sort the tab order would still be beneficial to me, and hopefully many other users.
Incidentally, in case it makes any difference, I use the 64-bit Windows version of the browser on Windows 10, and I have just updated to Vivaldi 2.2.1388.37.
Thank you in advance!

@HyperPete One thing you can try is right-click on one of those tabs in the same domain that you wish to close, and select "Stack Tabs by Host."
Then right-click on the tab stack and select "Close Tab Stack."

This can be done now by opening the Window Panel as @Pesala showed in this thread:
Therefore I'm moving this thread from Feature Requests / Tabs to Done

Hi,
I have tried this approach with using the Window Panel, but this doesn't sort the tabs in the tablist?
It just sorts the tabs in the window panel, but I cant copy/reproduce/clone those tabs in a sorted order to the tab panel afterwards.

@ezkb
Don't forget the Great and Holy Developers are doing us a great Favour by allowing us to use The Great Vivaldi, for which eternal Gratitude is required by our side and a great deal of Humility.
Don't ever expect that your lowly user wishes would ever be seen of bearing any importance whatsoever for the Great and Holy Developers. We, as mere lowly users are by no means of any use for Them. In fact we don't exist.
Joke aside, you can use any of the existing Tab Sorter extensions made for chrome:

I too want to sort tabs alphabetically, right in the tab bar (not by manual adjustments in some other panel).
I also want to de-dupe tabs after I've opened many on a topic.
Right now the only way to do either of these simple things is via browser extensions, which I'm trying very hard to avoid for security reasons.
Thanks
