      Hello,

As specified in the title, whenever I open the history page I am usually going to search for a specific term to narrow the options to what I am interested in and then look at the calendar view to find a specific entry if I am not sure from the list view. It would be much more convenient for me if I could just press ctrl+H to open history and start typing my search query. Right now it seems that the tab opens with the cursor on the calendar on the current date instead.

Maybe there is a way to do this that I have not figured out, but I thought I would post it here as a suggestion in case other people echo the sentiment.

      Regards,
      Jackson

@julien419 Curiously, Settings, Tabs, Focus Page Content on New Tab does not focus the Search field, but F8, F9 (focus URL, Focus Page) does.

@pesala F8, F9 does seem to do what I want and although it is a bit clunky, it is definitely faster than using the mouse. Thanks for the tip.

I noticed that the default behaviour for the history tab is to focus the search field when the day picker calendar is not enabled, so it is perhaps a deliberate implementation choice with the calendar. It makes sense if one wanted to quickly move to their history on a certain day. I suppose I just tend to use the calendar in a different way - searching for a general topic that I remember and then using the calendar as a visual guide to narrow my selection based on memory of when I think I saw what I am looking for, rather than scrolling through the list of search results.

Yes, it seems that it is.
