And discussion here lead nowhere
That's the magic with Vivaldi team. You never know beforehand how they'll surprise us next time.
So, personally, I wouldn't be as pessimistic as you.
(but I'm enthusiast by nature...) -

@Hallker You're totally right.
Just bear in mind Vivaldi team is a small team and their list of Feature Requests is huge (+ bugs) so they have to prioritize what they implement. It can sometimes be frustrating. -
When the forum tells you to make a new topic for feature requests, please ignore it.
(I have contacted the admins about this)

@Hallker FYI : I edited the first post to add your features to make them more visible.

For Sessions I use Tab Session Manager (After a time with Session Buddy I think this is better):

For reading later I proved a lot. I use Reading List (simple and effective):

So its like Pocket in Firefox? (Never used it)
-
@Stardust Kind of (I had that in mind today when coming back in this topic but I never used it either so I can't confirm).

Go to
vivaldi://experiments
to enable the Reading List experimental feature. Each Vivaldi window keeps its own list of pages for reading later.NB: Experimental features may change, break, disappear, not work as intended or at all. Please proceed with caution.

This feature has been added with the Vivaldi 5.1 update:
Go to Settings > Address Bar > Reading List and check:
Show Reading List ButtonFind out more about this new feature here.
Side note: the feature request includes a couple of things that were implemented differently or weren't added yet, but as per our "one feature request per thread" policy, I'm marking this one as done, and all follow-up requests should be added separately, to keep things more transparent.
