@jfinkhaeuser It's also the feature request with the most replies, showing there's a massive interest with Vivaldi users. I understand it's hard to develop such a feature, but I think Vivaldi users would agree they'd rather be patient and eventually get this feature than not getting it at all.

I think it would also be a giant step for Vivaldi to further improve the privacy aspect of the browser and maybe even be known as a more 'privacy-focused' browser, similar to Brave.

@jfinkhaeuser There are still some old feature requests outstanding from the first launch of this browser. The number of votes does not mean much. It is more a question of how hard something is to do.

@moosmas Given that Brave has had a major privacy debacle on its hand with its crypto strategy, I would say that Vivaldi is already the more privacy friendly browser. It could just use this extra feature very much, too.

@Pesala Fair. Let me rephrase: I have no visibility into what the company intends to do here. That's completely fine for a young or unimportant issue. Something as major as this could use more attention in how things are communicated, too. My two cents, of course.

True, but Brave is still considered one of the best, if not the best privacy-focused browsers. I must say the tracker blocking is more advanced in Brave and would love to see more extensive blocking in Vivaldi.

Yes, i believe that there's actually several Brave employees who think so. They still have high hopes of attaining double-digits, soonish...

I suppose this is a duplicate of this?!

Interesting that there are chromium implementations!

I told everyone that Brave wasn't to be trusted in any way, shape, or form. Love seeing them screw up even further.

Humor isn't your strong suite. With everything that's going on and to even to joke about wasting a resource like change.org isn't funny.

This really has been one of the things that kept me on Firefox as daily driver. I think the impending death of Firefox is going to force me to Vivaldi anyway, but I do have concerns about the lack of containers (and major worries about how Vivaldi will handle Manifest V3..)

@mak0013 Before making a request, please take note of the Feature Request forum category rules:

Search to make sure the feature you have in mind hasn’t been requested already.
                                Upvote features you like.
If a feature hasn’t been requested, start a new topic. Post only one feature request per topic.
Choose a clear and concise title for the topic and describe the feature in more detail in the body of the post.

The video you posted isn't showing anything specific, and the post doesn't explain how this feature works - nor how is it different from the multi-account containers feature request mentioned above. 🤔

It would be nice and it would definitely bring Vivaldi one step closer to the attention of more people as it would be "built-in" or better said, nicely presented to the end user with ease of access.

The adblocker is already built in. All that is missing is having that, as well as, per side javascript blocking. This can be built right on the url-bar Lock-icon right-click site permissions panel.

i cant figure out how to vote on this forum site, but this is a feature that no other browser but Firefox had implemented in a usefull way. If you want to look at how good can this be implemented you can check this screenshot that shows how Multi Account Containers and Vertical Tabs can make a huge step forward in a workflow
Each Container can hold multiple tabs inside that can make working, browsing and buying more usefull and secure.

                                          Hey guys,

Just FYI, Way before this addon was created for Firefox, Maxthon browser added this as a built-in feature. Just as easily as you create an incognito session in Chrome or Firefox or Vivaldi, you could create a "session" and open your separate accounts there. In fact, more than one at a time.

                                          Screenshot_1547.png

Maybe that would be a good way to go, assuming the Vivaldi team can figure out the technical aspects.

The MultiLogin Chrome Extension seems to do what we're looking for here?

Colour-coded session-tabs would be nice, but this does seem like it's better than SessionBox.

                                            Any other suggestions?

We're not here for a long time - but we are here for a good time :)
