Move Buttons from Status Bar to Panel Toolbar
-
Would be great if I could move the buttons from statusbar to sidebar.
I want to permanently hide the status bar but need the buttons there. So why not move them to sidebar? -

Because you might want to hide the sidebar (Panel toolbar)? (~_~)
The general request for Configurable Toolbar would solve this problem and many others.

@pesala Yes. This general request would solve this.

Precisely, I want as much as vertical space as possible. Monitors are wide, that is why Vivaldi's sidebar is useful. Let me move all the buttons (Sync, panel switch etc...) to the sidebar.

Like this suggestion !

@lebaux There again, since monitors are generally wide aspect ratio, one can tile two tabs and hide the panels until they are needed, if one puts the buttons on the address bar. The zoom slider won't work well on the panel toolbar in its default configuration. Not so bad if "Use Buttons in Range Control" is enabled. Either will work on the address bar as I have arranged it in Opera 12.18.

Configurable Toolbars is definitely the way to go to please everyone. Quite a lot of modifications can be done already by using CSS.
