Solved Adding 'Delete' to the context menu
-
I often miss the 'Delete' command in various context menus, as often I do not want to use 'Cut' and thereby lose the cache's content. Can the command be perhaps added somehow through tweaking or must it be requested?

Adding this here as a workaround (marked as "Solution" for better visibility):
Go to Settings > Quick Commands > Command Chains and add a new chain:
Command 1:
Open Link in Current Tab
Command Parameter:javascript:document.execCommand("delete");history.replaceState({},"",location.href);
The command chain can be added to a context menu.

Which menus?
-
All text editing context menus.
-
Try pressing the space bar to overtype the selected text.
This feature request is covered by the top feature request Allow Editing of Menus.
That would be a far more useful solution as many users would not want any more items on the selected-text-editing context menu — there are already way too many (16), which slows down access to those that might be used frequently.
