[Features Request] Mobile App and Warn on Closing Multiple Tabs
-
I'm requesting two features that I find as a must have and something pretty crucial to a browser.
- An Android, iOS, Amazon Kindle, etc. mobile app for the browser (Pretty sure this has been mentioned already but I want to bring it up again)
- Option to turn on warnings to prevent the user from closing the browser accidentally without fist having to confirm the close
So far, these are the things that I find quite important and have not been able to find a browser that has these features (PARTICULARLY the multi-tab closing option).

@NovaViper: Yes, mobile has been mentioned. Roughly a million times. It's currently in the early stages of pre-development study. iOS has also been mentioned by users, but Apple prohibits browsers which are not built on their specific brand of WebKit from being offered for install on iPhones, iPads, etc. So that won't be happening any time in the near future. Android will be the first mobile version, and others may follow.
A number of users have also asked for a close warning dialogue, and that has been taken under advisement by the developers. No promises have been made yet.

Actually, Internet Explorer could theoretically fit your requirements (it has the warning on closing multiple tabs on PC and there is a mobile version for which your passwords and bookmarks can by synced - although it's for Windows devices only AFAIK).
I think the warning on closing multiple tabs it's a bit useless if you use the "Start with last session" option. I use that warning dialog only to prevent myself from closing the browser accidentally (which I happen to do from time to time), so I always repeat my request in a more appropriate place. I wonder why is it so important to you if you don't mind me asking?

@pafflick I prefer to stay away from IE.. but I don't see why many find that feature useless especially because you could accidentally click the wrong thing and it ends up closing something important (this has happened several times before). The close browser that fits this need is Firefox.. but since it's losing ground with my favorite plugins, I moved on to Chrome and some other Chrome based browsers (like this one and Opera)

@Ayespy Ah, that's cool to see that the devs have considered the warning prompt and are working on the mobile app. Hopefully things go smoothly for both features

@NovaViper I didn't say that this "warning on close" feature is useless per se since I find it useful for me and I use it in Opera 12.
What I don't understand is that some people ask for this feature by explicitly stating that it should be triggered when there are two or more tabs open. I assume they don't want to lose their tabs, but you could just set your browser to start up with the last session to save your tabs and set the warning on closing regardless of the number of opened tabs to prevent it from accidental closing. Am I missing something?

@pafflick I agree, I do want it to warn me regardless of the number of tabs I have. But I don't get is why many browsers have no support for this feature.. it's rather annoying because it is very useful in preventing you from closing it all together instead of 'restoring' your session on startup (where you still lose information in the process so that ends up becoming useless..)
