Snapshot 1.0.303.32 - Beta Candidate
-
- could we have bookmark sorted by alphabetical order with folder up top before the beta release
- bookmarks inside bookmark bar folders need favicon
-
"Bookmark Bar Display" setting not works for me.
-
Why is it I install Adobe Flash Player and Vivaldi does not see it?
-
Paste and go in adressbar doesn't work.
Paste and go isn't translate (only english) -
In Vivaldi vocabulary, beta doesn't mean feature freeze, so who knows.
What I know is that the mail will be shipped when it's ready. So if it's ready for the final, great, if not, doesn't matter, the devs won't stop dev'ing at the final -
In the long run, Vivaldi plans to have a completly customizable UI. But for now, and for the beta, it won't be ready. Vivaldi choose to do as every other browser do nowadays, put the url bar inside the tab, choice that makes sense since the URL changes per tab.
So no, I don't think this feature is so much important. But I'm sure it will come, sooner or later. But it's faaaaar from a beta blocker. Also remember that beta doesn't mean feature freeze for Vivaldi…
-
There was a change in between that needed a thumbnail reload - since then it is fixed for me …
-
A bit more information would be useful : OS, version of Vivaldi used (x32 or x64) etc.
If you are using a x64 OS or x64 version of Vivaldi, it's kind of expected to have issue with flash… -
AFAIK (not 100% sure atm) this was switched off because it prevented dragging the whole window in the free area of the tab bar …
-
You need to install the PPAPI version of the Flashplayer. On https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer click on "I need it for another browser" (roughly translated to English, you'll find it in the left column). Click there and on the next page select your OS and the Flash version that says PPAPI

Couple of build ago I got wrong page suggestion. For web pages I never visited. When I type "g" for google.com the suggestion is go.com which I never visited, and this preference doesn't change after visiting google.com. This is pretty annoying. Win64.
GJ anyway -
I've just copied the get adobe link above and "paste and go"ed it in another tab. Works for me in Win. Linux only bug?
-
Thanks.

1. Tab animations are still not working. Enabled or disabled, they're still not working since 2 snapshots ago. Anyone else experience this?
2. In order to install this from the last snapshot, I had to uninstall Vivaldi and install the new snapshot. It told me it couldn't install the update in the registry or something like that. (64-bit Windows 10 on 64-bit Vivaldi)
3. When is the 64-bit going to not be "experimental"?
4. Can tab thumbnails be stored for frozen tabs?
5. How come we can't add a website to our Speed Dial and have that thumbnail have a logo like the rest of the Speed Dial? The reason I haven't added anything to the Speed Dial is because it'll look ugly.
6. Why are you guys so damn awesome?!? That's a bug you gotta fix right now!
-
Right clicking word and searching still opens duplicate search tabs in all windows.
And I still have issues with forum post forms - where arrows/backspace will sometimes go back, causing all text to be lost. I've lost count of how many times I've lost my post because of this. I have started to write forum posts in Notepad

Thanks for the hard work guys!

Welcome! Thanks for your support!

Great to hear you are happy! We will continue to work on speed and fixing bugs until we have 1.0 out of the door and then we will do more of the same and more!
Cheers,

Good, good. Let the Beta flow through you!
