Privacy Without Compromise: Proton VPN is Now Built Into Vivaldi
-
@tblu, I think so, the paid Proton VPN isn't limited to only one device, like the free one.
-
@Catweazle But how could you sign in with your V account? Is this possible in the Proton VPN app?
-
@ThePfromtheO, if you have an paid Proton account, I think that the V account (nick, mail, password) is accepted when it coincide with the extra paying data and IP from the paid accound in the case that the user had logged with the V account, instead with his existing one, which is also an option in the V Proton VPN.
I don't have an paid Proton account, nor using an Browser VPN, less one with only one country withouyt any option in its free version, but I think that it is possible this way while Proton receive the monthly fe from the same person (IP, Bank). -
@Catweazle Don't know either
-
我怎么右上角没有VPN图标连接呢????????????
-
@fangjia19321 Enable it in Settings → Privacy → Proton VPN.
-
为什么我看不到VPN的连接图标
-
@fangjia19321 Reset Toolbar.
In support forum we speak english. If you need help in chinese, ask at https://forum.vivaldi.net/category/23/中文-chinese

@fangjia19321 可能这个功能还没推送到你那里(可以再稍等一段时间)。而且这个按钮设计得很不起眼,我前几天其实也没注意到它。

When I turn the VPN button on I can't load any webpages. Nice thought if it worked!
-

@petermartin
Welcome to the 'Vivaldiverse'.But please, no adverts for leather jackets here.
Or have you made a mistake??Please do not integrate the link, but always leave it visible.
For example like this:
https://forum.vivaldi.net/topic/107452/very-good-experience-with-mullvad-vpn-open-source-from-swedenModedit: spam link removed
Please do not make the spammers work easier

Wonder if this is a new "application" of AI - automatically create forum posts which seem to be based on relevant points in the discussion, then hide your spammy/phishing link in there somewhere...

@mossman @ingolftopf
Yes, it was too strange
It said something like: “Learn more”, if I remember well. And that was certainly not related to the context.
-
That VPN look nice, used their services before. But in the built-in version i don't see "change server" button (Free version). With some servers connection problems appears sometimes, even if vpn enabled succesfully, so it can be useful. (Write it because they have it in app version)
-
@nayamashidesu You have to pay for this feature, you know.
-
@ThePfromtheO However, in the free desktop version of the program, it is possible to change the server once in a while if the connection is not too good. But okay, this seems to be a question for Proton, not the browser.
