Snapshot 1.0.209.3 More visual improvements and better mouse support
-
VB-2176 - Switch tabs with mouse-wheel over tab bar
VB-1760 - Add tab cycling via right click + mouse wheel
VB-1681 - (Linux) Mouse arrow keys not working for go forward and backThat's extremely cool!
This makes navigation a whole lot nicer on Linux.Thanks for the new snapshot and listing to your users.

edit: woot, cant cycle with mouse between just 2 tabs, it runs in circle, still not good, but hopefully in next build.
This is my concern too…
"SomeKnight" explained it in detail... I would make it more complicated if I was to repeat it !
Just this : "RMB + WheelDown" Does't do the backwards thing as "RMB + WheelUp"... one must cycle forward while the other one must cycle backward... to be honest, I sometimes don't understand the way they jump between tabs : "WheelUp" jumps between some tabs and "WheelDown" jumps between others with no understandable order...
Firstly, I love that we're finally getting RMB + Wheel goodness! The way I feel it should work seems to match that of others here. I can best explain it by equivalence to default keyboard shortcuts:
Think of RMB as the Ctrl key.
Then WheelDown means Tab and WheelUp means Shift+Tab.
So if we RMB+WheelDown once, then release, that should be equivalent to having pressed Ctrl+Tab.
And RMB+WheelDown again should again be equivalent to Ctrl+Tab.In my setup, Ctrl+Tab means switch to the previously focused tab. So RMB+WheelDown and releasing repeatedly means alternate between last two tabs. Same as Ctrl+Tab and release repeatedly.
Ok, I agree, this is not easy to explain but hopefully easy to understand!

BUG: [Mac] History lost in Quick Commands every time Vivaldi is updated.
BUG: [Mac/Winx64] SpatNav not working, or rather the shortcuts does nothing.
BUG: [Winx64] Quick Commands shortcuts/toggle not working/does nothing. -
Everything will get attention in due course. The browser is not long existing, (in fact is not even to the first stable release yet) so logically, no bug is long existing. You will note that adopting a new version of Blink introduced dozens of NEW bugs and regressions, and it was not even possible to tame all of those. So routine bug-squishing may be expected when a bit more stability returns.

Short of actually losing mail, I am willing to put up with the most infernally buggy interface, just to get the chance to get my feet wet. I SINCERELY hope that the developers are able to make it MAPI-compliant pretty much right out of the box, because the moment it is basically stable, it is becoming my user-default and system-default (if possible) client.

Thanks for your feedback!

Hello,
Congratulations to Vivaldi Team, delicious work on this snapshot. I noticed the page, Mail settings is now available, can you tell us when it might arrive. I really want Mail and RSS to switch permanently. Anyway congratulations once again.
Now onto some bugs (I am on Ubuntu Gnome 15.04 x64)
1. There is no progress shown in the address bar in this snapshot. My interface color is 'Light'. Either it is too faint to see due to the color combination or a bug.
2. This bug is present from the first snapshot. Whenever I click on the Site Info badge on the address bar, it flickers on from top left to its default position and is surrounded by an ugly border. Screenshots enclosed.

http://i.imgur.com/uxtm53N.png?13. When I click on Site Settings from Site Info dialog, it displays a site settings dialog box from Chrome and browser crashes.
Also I miss the old site settings system, bring it back, it is convenient. This build also feels little sluggish. Is it because of the new Chromium build?
Cheers!

The checkbox "Use Page Theme Color" in "Window Appearance" section of the settings window doesn't seem to do anything and it doesn't even stay checked when the window is closed or the section is changed.
Confirmed. Win 8.1 x64
-
A tint of a respective page's color in all cases, active or inactive (though perhaps a BIT more vibrant for active) would suit me. I can't use colored tabs because they are too saturated and I find most of the resulting colors too jarring to keep in front of my face all the time.

Great changes! Loved it, especially the Dark Theme! But here are a few nuisances:
-When changing tab with the mouse scroll, you can only go in a single direction. Changing the direction you scroll on the mouse will not change the direction of the tab cycling;
-I love the dark theme, but I don't mean for EVERYTHING to be dark. I want the Address and Search bars to go back to being white;
-Whenever I open the Settings window in this new build, it resets the UI scale to 100%;
-"Use page colors" appears in both Tabs and Appearance, which is pretty redundant;
-I want to use page colors, but not when the entire UI changes. If we had an option to what elements would change colors, it would be great;Keep up the great work! I'm loving Vivaldi so far, everything you guys are doing make me extremely happy to be part of the community! I keep saying this, but I can't wait for the final version!
Edit: I also want to know if you guys are working on a fix to the social media issues I've mentioned in a couple of builds before. Because I still have to open my old Opera 12 to comment on anything that uses Google + and Facebook.
Edit 2: Address bar isn't working for me… I can type on it, but no matter how many times I press Enter, it does not do anything.

Make sure bookmarks bar is set to the right folder, and then "fiddle" its settings, moving it top to bottom, turning labels and favicons on and off, etc. and it may return to normal for you. That's what I did.
-
Confirmed. Win 8.1 x64
-
Hopefully, never. That would rather kill the versatility of the bookmarking scheme.
-
And infinitely less customizable. As customization is the keynote of Vivaldi, I don't think reverting to native interface is a good idea.
-
To share your system specs would be helpful.
-
It used to work that way. It's a regression they still need to get around to fixing.
-
@ruario:
we added initial support for mouse scroll wheel tab switching and for Linux users, forward/backward mouse key support.
thank you.
-
They are actively working on full extension integration, including UI buttons, ext.
-
yeah, I though so. It has never been 100% reproducible but it seems like it's the custom theme (.gif) that takes a while to load and because of that all letters typed before it loads just disappear.

Thank you for the new snapshot
