Snapshot 1.0.209.3 More visual improvements and better mouse support
-
Make sure bookmarks bar is set to the right folder, and then "fiddle" its settings, moving it top to bottom, turning labels and favicons on and off, etc. and it may return to normal for you. That's what I did.
-
Confirmed. Win 8.1 x64
-
Hopefully, never. That would rather kill the versatility of the bookmarking scheme.
-
And infinitely less customizable. As customization is the keynote of Vivaldi, I don't think reverting to native interface is a good idea.
-
To share your system specs would be helpful.
-
It used to work that way. It's a regression they still need to get around to fixing.
-
@ruario:
we added initial support for mouse scroll wheel tab switching and for Linux users, forward/backward mouse key support.
thank you.
-
They are actively working on full extension integration, including UI buttons, ext.
-
yeah, I though so. It has never been 100% reproducible but it seems like it's the custom theme (.gif) that takes a while to load and because of that all letters typed before it loads just disappear.
-
Thank you for the new snapshot

Glad to see some very nice improvements. One small step for Vivaldi, one giant leap for nerds.
-
don't forget about importing from standalone installations of Opera 15+ though, I think that I do not need import since I have been using Vivaldi for a while but new users which are waiting for the very fist beta/stable would appreciate if they could import from portable Opera as well.

Order of Panels on Panel Bar is: Bookmarks, Mail, Contacts, Downloads, Notes.
Order of Panels on Settings dialogue is: Mail, Downloads, Bookmarks, Contacts, Notes.
It should be the same order in the Settings as on the Panel Bar.
-
Right Mouse + Scrollwheel is cack-handed — it should be Left Mouse + Scrollwheel.
-
It should be the same order in the Settings as on the Panel Bar.
Sounds just like my Technical Editor after reviewing my documents …

The Menu Bar really needs some access key shortcuts.
Showing the menu bar with Alt like other browsers or like Opera 12.17 in Fullscreen mode would be best, i.e. don't show the menu bar, just show the menus with Alt + Letter, e.g. Alt + F shows the file menu, Alt + T shows the Tools menu, etc.
-
Requiring users to remember a shortcut to show the cheat sheet for shortcuts is fundamentally flawed what was it again? F2 or was it Ctrl F1 or Ctrl Q?

Noticed some graphical glitches on Mac when the browser is fully maximized. White spaces at the edges are considerably noticeable. Using the Dark Theme so they're much more apparent.

You can't exactly tell from the last two screenshots because it's at the very edge but it's there.
So basically there are two on the top and two on the right side.
Oh and if you look at the first screenshot, the red traffic light button is already at the edge of the screen. (And no, I did not resize the browser to go off outside the screen)
EDIT: The white spaces were apparently due to my wallpaper. But I guess the issue still stands that the browser leaves a small space at the edges resulting in the wallpapers peeking at you, so to speak. And after a few restarts, the red button isn't at the edge anymore. Weird.
EDIT2: I guess it's not just Vivaldi that does this. I checked with my other windows and they do leave a space as well. I just didn't notice because Vivaldi is my only app that has a dark theme. Lol oh well. Scratch this comment xD -
Very Very slow

ahh, good news: you don't have to remember a shortcut …
