Hi, what do you meant with "properly", screen shots are welcome.@mib2berlin Normally when user selects'//clicks on a note in the panel, Vivaldi displays content of note in the right (main window). That no longer is the case.
-
@janrif
Ah, I never used this but I need a double click to open the notes page.
I am on Linux at moment, will check on Windows 11 later.Cheers, mib

@mib2berlin TU. Also on the subject of Notes: Ex: when user selects "Copy to Note" Vivaldi creates a note in the lower half of the panel & inserts the beginning of the clipped data as a list item. Normally, if user wanted to update the beginning of the Note w F2, the change would be reflected in the Note & visa'//versa. This no longer happens as well.
The illustration demonstrates the problem: "DAN RATHER QUESTTIONS" should be reflected in the Note in front of "my view," HTH

@janrif
Hm, not for me.
Do you use an UI zoom higher than 100%?
I use 105%. -
After this snapshot,
- my usually reliable vivaldi://restart bookmark stopped working (it closes Vivaldi but it does not re-open it); and
- the Vivaldi icon on the Windows 11 taskbar does not readily open the browser - I have to press it repeatedly many times to get lucky (yes, other icons on the taskbar work perfectly; and yes, I did try to make new icons from Vivaldi > Application > vivaldi.exe and that did not help).
Anyone else?

@mib2berlin usually 100% but I don't know that could be connected. More important, if what I describe is working for you, I still have to figure out why it's not working for me. If something else occurs to you, please post. Maybe I've overlooked some setting but I checked & didn't see anything obvious. TIA

Is downloading from http permanently disabled in Vivaldi?
-
Does anybody ever get the feeling that after updating something is not quite right but can't figure out if something is really not as it should be or it always was the way it is?
Anyway, in Speed Dial using Icons with text showing. The text is justified to the left. It looks weird but can't remember if that was that way or not.
Can anybody tell me please if that was the way it was, or not?

[History] Implement in memory database for history search (VB-103532)
If that was meant to address the issue I discovered and discussed on the forum (https://forum.vivaldi.net/topic/95057/vivalidi-won-t-save-history-other-than-current-day), it doesn't. I just tested and it took 4.5 minutes to display any history older than current day.

@FutaLyn
Hello, at least that's how it is in the last stable version.Cheers, mib
-
@FutaLyn It was recently changed and can be fixed with a few lines of CSS code.
-
@saudiqbal chome decided you should not download from http.
In VIvaldi they added a confirm requester in the download panel to allow downloading anyway.
You may have to use left click/open in a new tab, when the http link is in a https page. -

Yes, but Chrome|ium download button in address bar shows a hint/warning.
Vivaldi is missing such. -

I have random crashes but no crashlog in "%UserProfile%\AppData\Local\Vivaldi\User Data\Crashpad\reports"…
Does this count? -
It seems that the address bar does not search in the history anymore: For me it does only show bookmark entries. This is a bit annoying. Anybody else seeing the same behavior?
-
@Gif2D Check if crashdumps for Vivaldi exist at C:\Users......\AppData\Local\CrashDumps and send a report to Vivaldi bug tracker.
-
@punxatawnyphil Yes, I have the same problem.
-
@DoctorG But I still have hope for a traditional Friday 6.7 snapshot…
-
@punxatawnyphil: I have the problem, but with maybe an added twist. If I display History (e.g. <ctrl+h>) it only shows current day history unless I wait 4+ minutes for Vivaldi to do whatever it is it does. Then I can see the entire History. I think the address bar search might also need 4+ minutes to process the History file before it can access it, but not sure...
