+1 for syncing of saved sessions

+1 for syncing sessions. Would make tab stacks much easier to transfer between devices.
-
+1 for syncing of saved sessions, I just lost all the saved sessions after clean install of vivaldi browser......

Guys, please. Include this feature!
Syncing sessions is a must! It's been three years+ since this thread started.
I work on multiple computers* on a daily basis and I need such a feature.
Not flexing, tho. Research lab PC, prototyping lab PC, office PC, personal laptop, personal main PC, (occasionally wife's PC and/or laptop too)

I'd like to sync also saved sessions between my devices
me too, for back-up purposes: if my profile gets corrupted, I could restore the saved sessions, while now, they are LOST

Honestly I could see people paying for this sort of thing. Small fee for "advanced sync" for stuff that is bigger like sessions. Or if wanting to stay away from that sort of thing a solution could be to be able to have your own sync host. Like how you can host bitwarden yourself.

Another option would be to simply make the folder for the sessions adjustable.
Then one can adjust it to a "synced" folder (i.e. Nextcloud). -

I discovered this thread, there is none. Has anyone given a reason for not providing it. This team seems well qualified to do it in short order. If there is a reason not to do it even you just aren't going to, please tell us at the end of this thread and close it. Thanks for your consideration!

@rickgreenley2 The topic is tagged as NICE TO HAVE, so is not currently being worked on. On the other hand, it has not been tagged as WILL NOT DO, so we may see it one day.

@Pesala Thanks!

Can we at least get a sync on sessions as window state without the browser cookies and LocalStorage? Let me exemplify this:
I have 2 computers, I do a browsing session on computer1 which involves logging in to websites like GMail and save it under the name se1.
This gets synced to the cloud and on computer2, I select se1 to restore. This would effectively open the entire set of windows and tabs from computer1 without the session data, so I'd have to re-authenticate on those websites to use them.
Is this something doable? A JSON could be used to store windows and tabs state per session and have that synced.

Hello, I really would like to get that feature please. Same thing for the sync of note and so on.

I need this functionality to seamlessly resume my study at work and vice versa

This is a really old topic, but I wish the latest sync feature would have been considered for Sessions rather than Windows to see synced tabs, because you cannot restore a window at all, but you can restore a session with workspaces and stacks (only locally).

Many of us use vivaldi in many different devices. It's cross platform compatibility is major attraction.
But not being able to sync the session leaves the productivity benefits frustratingly out of reach. Even the new option in 6.9 to view the tabs and workspaces from other devices does not allow you to do it. You have to open every tab stack individually.
What is the point of all these wonderful features that drew me away from Firefox if I cannot do the simple thing of opening my browser on my PC, my laptop or my tablet and have all my tabs there? I might as well go back to bookmarks, which worked well, albeit in a basic way.
Now I'm sure what I'm asking for is for some reason technically very complex, though it seems we're so close, it can't be that hard. Whatever, I'm sure there are reasons. But all this sophisticated software development eventually becomes pointless if you can't do the killer applications like this.
really didn't need all this software development, if
