Vivaldi integrates Mastodon in its desktop browser.

@Nekomajin - that might be a feature request.
Another one might be to add Mastodon to the 3 button dropdown menu on our posts (presently only Facebook and Twitter).

@enc0re: Even OPERA GX is minimalist with more functions and not to mention much more beautiful and pleasant in navigation and games and effects.

Odd bug perhaps, but my Vivaldi 5.6 update resulsted in all my webpages turning into Croatian. I uhhh only speak English so it was a bit odd to see lol! My default lanauge was still set to en_US, but I went ahead and reset it to default again and restarted Vivaldi and things seem to be okay now!

@enc0re: Vivaldi doesn't officially support Wayland, gotta use Xorg
-
disappointed that this is still not fixed. been waiting for months...

Unfortunately this version is unusable for me now with the broken UI regression that was not addressed before release. VB-93487
Working on a larger display I need to reduce the UI size and it is no longer working as expected. Hopefully you get a fix out for this soon.
Thanks

@Ruarí I wished for a RC2 being released instead of rushing a stable out, but ok, I'll wait for those fixes to be pushed into next snapshot aswell.
-
Very nice, except the installer for 5.6.2867.36 is broken. It won't run at all.
-
@atlemo
One of my very few concerns about Vivaldi is the lack of a consistent UI, which stands out. It's not a deal breaker, but since you don't expand the theme capabilities, we can't create true native-ish themes so the browser can't integrate visually into the OS's we use. It would require much more options than just setting a few colors and corner radius.If it's not a viable path, then a unique set of icons would be much appreciated. A subtle animation on hover, and maybe just a little gradient would be nice. Although, the style itself is not the most important, but please, make it consistent, because now the toolbar, the sidebar, the settings page and the bookmarks have different designs, which is very frustrating.

Workaround for those who can't install the latest stable release on Windows: copy the installer to a drive that is NOT C: and is NOT a network drive. You could try running it from a USB stick for example.

In vivaldi go to Settings/Appearance and check the box that says "Use Native Window". Restart Vivaldi and you will have native shadows, etc in KDE.

No question 5.6 seems very rushed. Beyond the issues noted here, it seems that the new web panels cannot be removed. In fact, no panels can be removed at this point, because that submenu has disappeared in 5.6.
-
Hi,
You have to do it inside the Edit ToolBar options. -
@Zalex108 I guess I'll wait for the next update. I see the panel there, but nothing works.
-
Happened on Snap
Maybe Broken on Stable -
@olli: totally agree!

@paul1149 Settings, Appearance:
Use Monochrome Settings IconThis works far better with different themes. I am still struggling to find categories after they have been rearranged. I expect I will adjust to it after a few more weeks.
Amazing. I had no idea this was there. I have a system-wide dark theme (KDE desktop environment on MX Linux), and find the new icon colors make an excellent strain-relieving accent. Most of my setups involve dark themes for that purpose.

Vivaldi tooltips used to have the hints show up as a Black border with white text, but now the tooltips show up as a white border white black text. I much prefer the black tooltips version. Any way I can get this back or is this a bug? Thanks
