"Uncaught (in promise) Error: The message port closed before a response was received." is a message caused by a bug of Chromium core with extensions and some Vivaldi runs as a extension on a Chromium core.Next time, please, search first for already existing discussions.

@nfnitloop Me, too!

So is this going to be fixed any time soon? As a developer its very annoying to see errors in the console that aren't by your doing. And suppressing it doesn't seem smart either.
-
@martinspire That is a Chromium bug https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=1304272 related to extensions.
As Vivaldi is designed to exist as a extension which running on a Chromium core, such errors were spit into Console and on some OS in shell. -
Well, of course Chromium should be fixing it then but I'm not sure why this then gets notified to the website console rather than app logging or whatever. And while Vivaldi is "an extension" I think there's something to be learned from this as well. I've disabled all extensions and the error still happens so whether that lies with Vivaldi or Chromium is irrelevant to the users.
Also it seems that the issue has been mentioned in a fix on April 12th so that still leaves my question on when we can see an update for Vivaldi that has this fixed...
