Solved Shortcuts to Change Tab Bar Position

@pesala In Opera 12.18, you can simply right-click on the tab bar and reposition it from the context menu. After all these years, I still try that here occasionally.

@ayespy Yes, you can do it from the empty part of the tab bar as well as from the tab context menu, but it's still on a submenu.

Maybe you edited your Opera Menu? I did check with the Opera Standard menu setup. Editing menus is very useful to make what you use more accessible by removing what you don't use much, if at all.

@pesala Never edited Opera menus, Just going from memory. I used to flip tabs to different sides of the browser to check this or that out, all the time.

please add support for dragging the tab bar as well to new positions and the ability to cycle via keyboard shortcut between all positions.

@vincer The Quick Commands dialogue (F2) can also be used to select tabs as can the Tab Cycler. Show as list works best if you have a lot of tabs.

Would love to be able to change the Tab Bar position using a shortcut.

For days where you have lots of tabs open, use the shortcut to move the Tab Bar to the left/right of the window.

For days where you don't have many tabs open, use the shortcut to move the Tab Bar to the top/bottom of the window.

My workaround right now is assigning a keyboard shortcut for hiding the Tab Bar, but that obviously means ones tabs are hidden.

This would be very useful to have. I like the tab bar on the side when the browser is full-screened, but I wish I could easily move them to the top when I have reason to narrow the viewport.

Yes, I would like to have a shortcut or an icon to change tabs placement from top to left.
I sometimes stack 2 windows side by side on 4k monitor and then I prefer tab on top.
When I use 1 window on full screen I prefer it to the left.
I would appreciate if the switching was easier.
