Put downloads in bottom toolbar- like Chrome

Hi-
I want to see my files downloading/successfully downloaded for the session- just like in Chrome. I HATE the panel system Vivaldi uses which I have to employ just to see if my files have successfully downloaded or to open them when I choose. The panel just pushes aside the actual screen to fill up 1/5 with superfluous information. This has been a feature request but has never received an answer- why does Vivaldi not simply put downloads in the bottom toolbar like almost every other browser? Downloads are a basic feature but instead the bottom toolbar has features I've never heard of and probably have no use for, certainly not on a regular basis.

@lairdkeir Disable the status bar, enable the panel. It certainly doesn’t take a fifth of the screen considering you can glance at the progress without opening the downloads panel. And if you want a better look, you use a shortcut or mouse gesture to quickly toggle the panel. What’s the point in all browsers doing everything the exact same way? We might as well just have a single browser everyone uses.

@lairdkeir Where is the previous feature request that did not receive an answer? The Vivaldi Team rarely reply to feature request threads, but other users often do.

Using the Panel is optional. The default setting is to open the download panel automatically on starting a download, and notifications when the download is complete.

I disable the first option, and use the notification popup to open the downloads folder if I want to.

If you leave the Panel Toolbar on, but hide the panel, the download progress is displayed in the Panel icon.

There are already feature requests for a Downloads Button or Downloads Button Popup (the same thing) on the Address Bar, which is preferable to the Status Bar, which may be hidden by users who don't find the zoom control, show/hide panel icon, or status field useful.

If a downloads button is implemented, anyone could move it to the Status Bar with Shift+Drag and drop.
