Friday poll: How do you access your bookmarks?
-
TGIF! But before we head off to the weekend, it's time for a new community poll question.
Vivaldi has a lot of ways to access and manage bookmarks and from a poll we did a while a go, we know most of you have hundreds, if not thousands of them. So this week we'd like to know, which is your favourite way to open your bookmarks in Vivaldi.
You'll find the new poll here: https://vivaldi.net/community-poll-how-do-you-access-your-bookmarks/.
Have a great weekend!

When using Vivaldi I have to heavily rely on the Speed Dials (I have 4 tabs of these)
- Bookmarks Bar: I don't want to use it (+ additional panel)
- Bookmarks Menu: to many steps to open bookmarks
- Bookmarks Manager: it's a Manager so no
- Address field: no
- Bookmarks Panel: I have the side panel hidden, so it takes too many steps and distractions (panel sliding animation) to open bookmark and then you need to hide the panel again...
Still waiting for the Drop-down bookmarks menu button on the Address Bar

Not really sure this should be classed as a bug as it is simply not there by design.
-
@Priest72 what do you mean?
-
I use the address field for the most frequently visited sites, and then the bookmarks menu if I know the category but can't remember the name. If I need to search properly I use the panel and if I need to organise bookmarks I use the bookmarks manager. I also use the Speed Dial of course, but only for the top 10 sites.
This really should've been multiple choices

So, you know these sites names, right?

@Catweazle I see you have 7 Speed Dials tabs
-
@Stardust , 14 +1 empty, which I use as new tab page

@Stardust I'll upvote that

@jane-n
it is very difficult to choose exactly one feature.
frequent bookmarks via bookmark bar and speeddial and less frequent ones via bookmark panel or quickcommand.
so what should I vote for? -

My comment on the poll page - I really like this thought:
"I don't use bookmarks" because they are inaccessible on my iPhone, and at those times I have to use some other browser. I save them all on a custom web page, accessible anywhere! And the protected ones are in LastPass, also accessible anywhere.
Just had a thought... Sync already has the ability to store and share bookmarks. Could it have an option to share them with a custom web page, that would log into sync like another computer, but be accessible anywhere? Either on my host, or actually hosted by Vivaldi? Would make adding new bookmarks to the custom page so much easier!

I access via the Context Menu, well technically its the Menubar in the context menu :
