@stardust: Then do that. Nothing has been taken away
However, if you still prefer the old compact view, no problem! We didn’t take it away, its still there in settings.
-
@Stardust If you enable the experiment there is a choice in Settings, Tabs, Tab Stacking for the style of stacking.
-
@Ruarí This feature is going to prove popular.
Perhaps Rename Tab Stack should not appear on the second row as it does nothing, or perhaps it could be allowed for renaming tiled tabs?
-
@luetage A participation trophy. Good plan. That is all he is likely to win these days. He is getting old and slow.
-
@pesala: It appearing on the second row and doing nothing sounds like a bug.
As for renaming tiled tabs. How would you see that working? Should it rename all of the ones that are tiled?
-
I don’t use stacks, but I welcome all the new menu customization. Lotsa emoji gonna be added ^^

Oh, no. I was talking about Opera Presto tab stacking...
-
@stardust: Umm... let's just say.. we'll see
-
I like the illustration
-
@Ruarí This bug also affects Bookmark Tab Stack. Submitted bug as:
(VB-75180) Rename or Bookmark Tab Stack on Second Row of Tab Stack does Nothing
It would be cool if we could rename Tiled Tab Groups too, whether in a stack or not. There is already a popular request to Rename Tabs.
-
What about 3-level tab stacks!? :smiling_face_with_open_mouth_closed_eyes:
-
@Stardust WIR. But I still hope for tree tabs ^^
Btw, a lot of news -
A nice thing that probably has nothing to do with development, but made me happy — I’ve noticed download size has gone from ~ 100 MB back to ~ 60 MB (noticeable for those using herecura)
-
@luetage: I didn't either. But this implementation that made stacks more useable has been a game changer for me.
Ctrl/shift selecting tabs and then stacking them using a keyboard shortcut has been a huge aid in organization.
-
@mtaki14 Yeah, don’t know. Maybe I’ll try again, but I just save as session or as bookmarks folder and close the lot I don’t immediately need.
