Any word on M3? (internal mail client)

Strictly talking Vivaldi is not obliged to meet any expectations of a previous product of another company, I hope it is clear to you.
Huh, what is this even about? I cannot follow your argument in this thread.
Let's just be excited and hope for the best, I'd say.
The name M3 is just a name for insiders (= former users of the abandonware who came to Vivaldi).
Naming it M3 would only lead new users to check the competitor's browser, even though the latter has nothing to do with the Abandonware for years now, which doesn't make any sense.Isn't this exactly what I said before, that even in O12 there was never a button
M2
but it was always an internal name, even though it was used at the forums? I cannot remember if O9.5 may have had it, but nobody is going to enrage about a name and whether it's used officially or not, I hope?! -
@Steffie Already had one with only +709% interest in my favorite app, very nice, I count even as a user for the shareholders to be happy so that they can provide me my favorite hipster browser as well, but thanks anyway
Government's black list is anyway overreated.

@Steffie It's here! End of the thread. sigh
-
@hlehyaric It made it to half of the ultimate page number, so that's something.
-
@Steffie Release is obviously the answer to the ultimate question about M3, so 21 is excellent.

M3 has been used as a product name since 1986 by BMW. So don't be scared by some apple.
I'm glad it's out, I have to try this asap. Let's see if it can handle my tenthousands of mail as good as M2.
-
@Arsenal It handles my hundreds of thousands of emails better than M2 so far, so...
-
unbelievable. halleluja.

5 years ago, no idea why mine was closed, its 3 years older than this one.
who would have thought i will be using opera the next 5 years until this day..but i still have to wait now for an import option from m2 so we can finally migrate from opera12..
hope you will get this right.
i have two old accounts and still fetching mails per pop, but forgot the password.
its saved encrypted as i figure, is there a way to somehow retrieve the password in plain text or how will this happen, when importing all the accounts to vivaldi then?also i read, there is no option for the normal imap gmail login implemented (yet?)
so you still have to login through google website??? why? m2 is working with normal login through m2.. -
@schreck GMail is actively blocking the OAuth numbers to 100 Vivaldi users and no more. Work is underway to solve this. In the meantime, I am a Vivaldi M3 IMAP user of GMail.
-
@Ayespy Tell the truth, you're using all 100 accounts.
-
@Folgore101 Uhmmm, yeah, no. Just 3.

I have some problem with Mail (it's stuck near the end of a progress bar and the mail tree nodes never show up:
This remains no matter how many times I restart Vivaldi. Mail is working (new emails and RSS feeds still arrive) but without the navigation tree I can't do much more than just open them on arrival...So, figuring I probably had some corrupted profile problem, decided to start a new profile and see if the problem remained.
Sync brought most of my settings back and the configuration was minimal. Mail does not Sync so I had to configure the mail accounts and RSS Feeds again.I did have problems setting my GMail accounts, so I just moved on. The Google Calendar was configured without any hassle. Another thing I did differently was entering the feeds manually this time (The OPML file had many duplicates and I think that was causing feeds to show up multiple times).
And then, when I went back to the GMail accounts to try configuring them again, they worked straight away! Not sure If I just happened to be lucky that one of the 100 had disconnected or if me logging in to Google had something to do with it. But the truth is that they're fully functional on this new profile too...(I still have my old profile, if someone wants to investigate why Mail got stuck - if so, just send me a message asking what I can send you)
-
@pauloaguia I have seen this as well, and could not, for the life of me, figure it out. Sometimes, merely re-starting the browser fixes it. If not, I have started over with a total new profile, and that sorted it. I have no idea what does it - but it always follows an update.

5 years ago, no idea why mine was closed, its 3 years older than this one.Yeah, I remember periodically googling M3 and finding various thread back at the time when I was not using Vivaldi (I kept thinking for more than three years "mail will come next month so I will migrate then") and before there was a dedicated thread to it that was clearly the most popular:-).
i have two old accounts and still fetching mails per pop, but forgot the password.

will this happen, when importing all the accounts to vivaldi then?I think there should be a convoluted way to do this if your smtp password is the same as POP3 passwrod: https://www.reddit.com/r/operabrowser/wiki/m2tips/enable_logging

Is this thread still viable / justified / warranted?
If yes, can we at least pls edit it to swap 4 for 3?

Hi,
It would be better to close it and open up a new one.
Let's see in the [European]
