Vivaldi browser introduces Break Mode: the new way to pause the Internet

Break mode now has proper background - good.
It can't be properly unpaused - "" image remains on screen and pages and menus not reacting on anything - bad.I object the statement "Allow Ads was made in the most unambiguous way".
It could've been made visible on the Privacy page in settings.
But instead it is sneaked (yes, I've chosen the same words deliberately) into the sources list, broadening it's actual use without any visual clues. Nasty. While I might be not really affected by this move, it is a worrying sign.
While Vivaldi is still a far cry from a certain competitor, it looks like here comes the time to return the investments and who knows what will come next...Want me to care and show you support?
- Add a whole separate "Support the developers" section in the settings with all relevant setting and any statements on why you think it's a good idea for me to support you. ("It's fast and secure" won't help though.)
I'm not totally happy with Vivaldi - I don't think you understand my needs and instead waste time on bells and whistles, easy to implement cosmetic features. Make me change my mind first.
Sneaking ads might be a short term win but you will waste the trust from your most loyal auditory and lose in the long run. Grow balls to keep it open and stand out from the crowd - show you deserve the trust and support.

As others have recently remarked in Snapshot threads, i do hope the unfortunate too-close-to-windoze icon for the StartPage gets replaced sooner not later.
Agreed about windoze, they've must have changed it though to differentiate itself from calendar , a sign that it we' re even closer to getting it (&M3) ?

@Gwen-Dragon it wasn't sarcasm, it was fact.
Look at all the people whining about the ads. They get to use a wonderful, fully customizable browser, and yet they complain about ads because it wasn't written out in 72 point, bold text as "WE HAZ ADZ!" in words small enough for them to comprehend.
Ok, I think that might need a sarcasm tag.

Nice job
Middle click a tab thumbnail to close it would be nicePlease vote for Close tabs by middle-click on thumbnail if you haven't already
You may also take a look into relevant feature requests like reordering tabs by using the thumbnail and others here

I like the "Crop and click parts of the URL in the Address Bar" feature. I was using it all the time even before the highlight feature, but can this feature be extended to the url parameters like
vivaldi.com/blog/vivaldi-introduces-break-mode/?authenticate=blog#comments
The part after '?' delimited by the '&' and '#' is not highlighted with ctrl. As a developer this would be very much apprecieted to be able to cut off some params -

But it's not good that they're sneaking it in.
And looking at the current contents of the list, they aren't just disabling filters on privacy-friendly sites like duckduckgo, but also on bing, which definitely isn't privacy-friendly.It would only be privacy hostile if an option to not turn off were in force.
I don't use the built in blocker myself as i use an extension but if i were and it helped to finance things a bit better then i see no reason not to allow it.After all we get the browser for free so i see no issues with it.
My opinion for what it is worth. -
@Pesala thanks for your input. It's corrected and updated.

When I first saw this feature on the blog post page, I thought it was a sort of reminder to get away from PC like the app Stretchly
E.g. every X minutes, stay in Break Mode for Y seconds:

Is it possible that the speed dial icon in the tab bar got a new icon?
Anyway I like it very much
-
In History of web panel, search gets slower than previous.

Wow so many comments already. -
@stardepp Are you using comic sans as UI font?
-
@luetage Yes, I do, throughout Vivaldi and also in Windows system-wide.
-
Just did a fresh install, but the browser opens with no interface at all, its just a gray box with vivaldi logo at the middle.
-
@stardepp The font fits the new startpage favicon, I give you that :p
-
@helderjfl: Its clearly a bug, for it to work I had to add the argument "--lang=en-US", as my install is ptbr.
-
It would be nice if the panels would take a "Break." They don't take a "Break," it seems.
UPDATE:
Nevermind ... I thought "hide" meant "hibernate" ... I guess not.

That URL cropping feature is pure genius! I love it but I'm really disappointed at the same time because it doesn't allow you to copy the cropped result. No UI additions needed here, simply allowing Ctrl+C would be fantastic.
