Further Toolbar customization – Vivaldi Browser snapshot 1476.4
-
@jacekn: Yeah, I'd love to be able to put Print, Find in Page, and Reopen Closed Tab buttons on the address bar. (I know, you keyboard warriors don't get it, but isn't personalization what Vivaldi's all about?)
-
@terdale: and middle-click on this one doesn't work anymore

Hi @gwen-dragon,
@treego and I have noticed that FULL SCREEN MODE disables zoom keyboard shortcuts (VB-50527) (just go FULL SCREEN and press +, or CTRL++, and you'll see they'll don't work). If VB-50527 is a bug you can replicate, would you please "confirm it", as you said you already confirmed VB-50493?
Thank you,

It would be nice if we could move the buttons to anywhere within the toolbar, addressfield and status bar. This implementation is only reordering buttons within their own container
-
@sjudenim It still is work in progress. Time will tell.

I am definitely not happy with what happened to the extensions part of the address bar, with no way of hiding/unhiding the extension icons and no way of moving them around - it's a step backwards which I'm confident the team is going to correct in the next browser version. On the other hand nobody seems to have noticed that the functionality of the pop-ups has been exponentially improved with the toolbar present, as I was hoping it would happen a long time ago. Now I can use the extensions (my password manager first of all) in a pop-up as in the main window!
-
@nutcracker It's a work in progress. Nothing "happened." Things "are happening," and the end result the developers are shooting for is increased function and maximum usability, not any loss of function.
-
@ayespy: Of course something happened, we cannot deny that but I also wrote ".....I'm confident the team is going to correct it in the next browser version".

I reported an issue as VB-50220 regarding pages blinking when switching to them in a titled view. However, I'm starting to realise that the tiling isn't necessary. It seems it can happen on any tab (when you switch to it), and even some web panels (most notably with a feed reader extension).
I wish I could provide a more useful explanation for how this bugs exhibits itself - looking at the dev tools performance monitor doesn't reveal anything that I can see as being suspicious (but I'm not an expert at reading that). And of course there's the usual quantum mechanics where the bug stops happening in the tab that I try to measure it.

@luetage The entry in status bar shows up for me now, but I have no idea how this happened, it's been several days, several computer restarts and countless openings/instances of the Vivaldi application – but today it works without me having changed a thing since originally enabling biscuit mode. I'm gonna add this to the bug message.
