'This thread is old - create another ?' is for too short a period

Hi, can the time frame for 'old threads' be made a year or more ? There are issues relevant within a few months (even a couple) and the forum software always nags us to create another one - unless somebody is getting paid for # of threads ?

Just ignore it, you can reply to any topic you want, as long as it's relevant and you have something to add to it. The "old thread" warning is just a forum software thing Vivaldi's devs most likely haven't touched. Far too often threads are created because of it, I'd wish it would just be removed. Old and irrelevant threads can just be locked, if there is really a need.

Right - many users will invariable be led to the assumption that new thread is the better way to go
I think GetSatisfaction also used to be this way then they increased the age limit or removed it

The warning is just that, not a command.

I do think the limit should be longer — at least 3 months.
