The semantic difference between '''URI encoded components''' and the '''literal representation''' is distinct and that must not be ignored.
Taken the example from the link: the "%5B" was meddled to "[" (and the "%5D" to "]").
And the "%22" here to `"`.
While the link indeed works in many cases, not having certain characters escaped might cause interoperability issues under certain circumstances.

Thank you for your effort, but you do not really have to teach me Markdown.
In short: for general interoperability.

If you have the time and interest, please help checking the status of my previous reports: there are recent updates of Vivaldi that may have things changed.
I mean so I wouldn't have to backward formatting well-formatted Plain Text into the clumsy Markdown representation for proper display on the site.
Saves a little time and improves general interoperability.
@personablepharoah Many new users do not search carefully, so I often post this link to help them find previous feature requests.
Help on Feature Requests • Add Search as Web Panel
With the panel, it is easier to find similar topics, just by changing the search string. The search includes topics that are already tagged as DONE, but not those that are archived as Duplicates.

A useless tool
My great great great great great grandparents' neighbour's hairdresser's plumber's accountant's neurosurgeon used to tell stories about something called The Vivaldi Forum Search Tool, but as the story passed down over all the following generations, with nobody ever seeing any actual proof of its existence, we all just came to believe it was one of those urban myths. I expect we'll probably find proof of Bigfoot, Nessie, & Dropbears before we ever see tangible proof of TVFST.
@guigirl same here, I added it manually. I have just set up a new dual boot machine with 2 profiles each and got too annoyed to not say anything. Of course, I would have never noticed if Vivaldi sync would include the search engines.
To quote @omen_20 from the corresponding feature wish Sync search engines:
When freshly installing Vivaldi, the missing search engines and keywords is always surprising.
@saadouamine The problem is that server space and maintaining servers is costly. People expect that their data will not be lost, and typical camera photos nowadays are multiple Mbytes each.
It is not just server space, but bandwidth to upload and download the files.
One can create a blog, and upload media to display on a blog, but the maximum file size is 5 Mbytes.
@risingstark The one resource that is non-renewable is time. Developers are the minority¹ in a small team at Vivaldi. Most of the feedback is provided via this forum with volunteer Ambassadors and Moderators.
Ideas on how to improve feedback are ten a penny, but there is almost no staff time available to implement any worthwhile system. The forum code also has its limitations.
¹ Actually 22 developers, among a team of 54 including two dogs, who presumably are there just to sniff out the bugs.
@zerospam Thats a very good request. It was requested several times and unfortunately it's like nobody cares @Vivaldi staff.
I for example have a main account which i use for Webmail and the Blog plattform, because on Vivaldis blog plattform i can use a seperate alternative username. For the forum it's already my third account to participate and communicate with the users and staff here.
The previous accounts for the forum were active - but to split it up is an annoying thing, so I unfortunately lost the access data. With this behaviour Vivaldi unfortunately marginalizes the community itself. A rich, high-quality account with various options - that would be beneficial for the community to flourish. This wish has been expressed many many times.
