What OS? Are you using HiPDI screen? What resolution and/or setup? What graphics card?
-
for those who have new blurriness or scaling problems you will need to provide more details as it is not something we can currently reproduce.
What OS and OS version? Are you using HiPDI screen? What resolution and/or setup? What graphics card? … etc.

Some more details please. Are you using HiPDI screen? What resolution and/or setup? What graphics card? … etc.

No ruario, no HiDPI. Win8.1x64, vivaldi 32bit, 1920x1200-24"-Screen, AMD Radeon R7 Graphics.
The Text on webpages uses system-aliasing. -
If the cursor vanishes, just switch to another tab and back. That should make it reappear. Known issue, no need to report.
-
yes, will add to the known issues
-
–disable-gpu did not help here.
To lower the waves: its not that heavily blurry, I can read everything in the UI. But it looked clearer before. -
system-aliasing = MS "ClearType"
-
could you provide a screenshot of this version alongside the previous build?
-
windows 10-64bit ,1920x1080 ,nvidia geforce 940m.

The caret in text boxes (even on this) still disappears on alt-tab and F8/Esc workaround combo is still needed. I can't tell if it's a regression on this update or previous claimed fix didn't actually work already, but I just read another guy on the forum who confirmed yesterday it didn't actually work for him with 1.5.633.16

On my Surface 3 PRO the blurryness is gone. Perfect
-
Kubuntu 16.10 x86_64 no blur problem
-
Unfortunately i also experience blurriness and scale problems: Dell Latitude E5540 Notebook, Win 10 pro 64bit (10586.545); I7 4600U; Nvidia GT 720M; 1920x1080;
Tried running with both (integrated and Nvidia) GPUs and deactivating scaling at high DPI, nothing fixed the problem. thx for looking into this! -

With the new Snapshot now everything is quite a bit larger, the UI as well as the displayed websites. The same happened a few days ago in Chrome, when it's latest update was installed.
It seems like the new Chromium now respects (or no longer respects?) the HiDPI Scaling from the OS. (On my machine it currently says it´s at 225%, but that can´t be true. Seems like a bug there. I also cannot change it. From what i remember, it was at about 125%.
When i go to Vivaldi´s Settings and try to scale Vivaldi´s UI and Default Page Zoom back down, to get the same size as before, it gets a little blurry. Seems like the scaling of Vivaldi and from OS are working against each other there.
I also tried to enable the checkbox to disable scaling at high DPI, which Windows offers in the properties window you get from the Applications icon. It did get a little smaller, but the problem didn't disappear completely.
-
thx, but sadly it does not make it any better.
-
Windows 7 Pro x64, Viv x64 SS, Intel HD Graphics 4600, 1920x1080 HP Z22i
-
With "User Interface Zoom" at 100% the UI seems mostly sharp. When i reduce it, it gets blurry.
Content of Webpages is already a little blurry at 100% (individual page zoom at bottom right and Default Webpage Zoom are both at 100%). Even the Vivaldi-Settings as tab are blurry.
See Screenshot.
I blacked a few tabs there, but you can see, that the text in some tabs is sharp and in the topmost blurry. And when i open the Screenshot in Vivaldi, it gets displayed larger than it actually is. Seems to match the 125% of Windows Scaling exactly.
Edit: this is all with scaling at high DPI disabled in the applications icon compatibilty properties.
-
Okay, changing the Checkbox to disable scaling in the applications icon does not change anything. Just unchecked it again, restarted Vivaldi and made another screenshot, but it actually looks the same.
