After a lot of switching hardware and testing between this and another system the culprit seems indeed to be two of the four RAM sticks, hadn't had any issues for over a week now. The mem tests simply did not catch this, I guess.
So, thank you all for help this far, even if it was such a banality as tests not catching issues in the end š
@ntman
Hi, I guess it is not online at moment, the snapshot is a few hours old, check if the download of 2658.3 is working.
I hope a moderator can ping a dev to upload the debug build.
Cheers, mib
EDIT: I test it and 2658.3 does not work, too.
If nobody from the Vivaldi staff steps by I would report it to the bug tracker.
Haha, report a bug to get the debug build to report a bug!
Does Vivaldi report or dump elsewhere when it crashes?
Once you've updated then retested, if it still happens, maybe try for the next little while launching V from terminal not your usual app menu launcher. Then, if/when it next recurs, inspect the recent terminal lines to see if any clues emerge.
@npro Tested with 5.2.2623.43 & 5.3.2658.3 Debian 11 KDE 5 Plasma.
Save as MHTML is still broken, i get only a fiel with HTML code instead of a MHTML web archive. š
