Lost a lot of tabs

@chr0n0ss make sure your using the stable version of Vivaldi on iOS.
Just out of curiosity did you download the snapshots each time thinking their update and if so you should know The snapshots are more unstable and require testing before the stable version.
I have read this whole thread so let me know, if I wrong, I’m wrong. So have you been using the snapshots of lots of tabs?

For what it’s worth, I’m using the stable version of Vivaldi on an iPad. I just tried it again and was able to recreate losing all of my tabs. Basically, opening the app in anything other than fullscreen with stage manager turned off causes the browser to close all tabs. Regardless of whether you’re using it alongside another app or not. I think I’m gonna stick to using Safari for now till this is fixed. A shame really, cause I’ll be losing tab sync with my PC and phone.

So it sounds like a syn issue a little bit, not all my tabs are syned from desktop to iOS or iOS to desktop either. If that what your looking for.
Second on my ipad especially if you click the home button you can find other Vivaldi browsers open. I have done this several times where I will open my Vivaldi browser on iPad and notice no tabs but if I click the home button I see several Vivaldi browser I had opened previously with all my split screen there which sort hard to get rid of.
Not sure if this helps or even tried, I don’t even have mine in full screen mode, it could be your full screen mode on desktop is causing to have problems on iOS in full screen mode. Not sure just suggestion to look into. You can try it without full screen and see if that works.
The other thing is if you click home button and you see your apps and you swipe your figure up you are closing the browser and there no way to recover that so that another thing to look into. Hope it help. -
@zeke365 Yeah, none of those help, unfortunately. Opening the window menu just shows the single current session for Vivaldi which closes all my tabs if I use it as a slide-over/split screen window then close it on my iPad. Looking at my recent apps doesn’t help either cause I typically close my apps when they’re not being used. Normally, my tabs would be preserved so long as I never enter split screen or slide-over. As for syncing between platforms, that all works fine. I can access my tabs from my phone or my PC, it’s the local session on my ipad that keeps closing when using Vivaldi in splitscreen or slide-over. And when that happens, opening a new session of Vivaldi causes the app to sync, overwriting any previous sessions that might have had my old tabs. I don’t know if they’ll ever fix it: I hope they do. Just tried the app out again to check and it still behaves the same way. Will check back here again in a couple of months to see if the situation changes. Till then, I’ll just have to continue using Safari on my iPad.
