iOS Extensions
-
Is there any plans on adding iOS extensions to Vivaldi? If not now, are there any roadblocks as to why?

@evanmoriarty Chrome has no support for extensions on mobile, therefore there are no 3rd party developers creating extensions for mobile Chrome browsers. Ergo there is no point in adding extension support to either Android or iOS.

@luetage Vivaldi on iOS is not Chromium based, It is powered by Safari which does support a limited number of extensions on iOS.
-
@yeswap They are using Chromium for some parts https://vivaldi.com/blog/vivaldi-on-ios-6-5/ from the change log "[Chromium] Upgraded to 120.0.6099.81"
Even on Android Chrome has no extensions at all. Vivaldi on iOS you can add custom tracker and ad blocker lists

Would be great indeed. As a reference point: Orion browser does support web extensions (though not all) despite having the same Apple-imposed limitations of being able to only use the same Safari Webkit engine as other browsers
