@doctorg: Mouse (both double-click or right click and select Close from the popup menu). I never use the keyboard shortcut for this task.

@vandorrr: Strange things happen. I have windows 10 on my pc and my laptop and windows 11 on my tablet. On my tablet (windows 11) everything works OK. On my laptop vivaldi opens only without extensions. On my pc vivaldi couldn't start. I copied the laptop profile (same browser version) and now I work on my pc without the need of "--disable-extensions" but I don't see any extensions in the extensions manager. In addition, I had to re-insert the mail passwords for all accounts to get the client to work , but it works almost perfectly now. I can't do anything more than waiting for an update.

@icehawk_de: Would be great if you could report a bug and attach any relevant files/steps, and also if you use any extensions mention those as well. Thanks!

@Aronand
Thank you for your attention and time.It is not a matter of course that developers read along here.
They also have to develop a better and better browser.That's why there are bug reports.

Greetings,
Just thought I'd let you know about this, I checked and di not find it the Forums.On 6.5.3206.24 (Official Build) (64-bit) and the previous build I noticed the following:
Being tied into MS I found the MS Outlook app in their store and decided to try it.
Used it a couple of times then went to my favourite browser and did some research.
Later I went to check MS Outlook for their mail and got an error that Outlook was already running, but it wasn't (i thought).
Seems I have an entry on my Start Page to Outlook Web which the new Outlook (from the MS Store thought it was his/hers and hijacked the original link to Outlook Web.
I get a lot of email there, mostly crap, that I'd rather not have wasting space/energy on your servers, so is there a way to use this what I thought was a standalone app without it hijacking my Vivaldi bookmarks (Start Page)?
Perhaps as I have de-googled myself (mostly) I may have to de-MS myself... -

Well, it seems you are a little late now that you 've just given Microsoft and 766 third parties all your passwords and data...

@greybeard Vivaldi Technologies AS does not collect, receive or store any information concerning your email transactions or content from any other provider. All it does is provide you a local client to send credentials and emails, and collect emails. Nothing, literally nothing, concerning your email winds up on Vivaldi servers. It's straight from your local device to the MS (or whatever provider) servers. MS has copies of your emails and if you are using the Vivaldi mail client, so do you. Vivaldi is not a party to that.

@npro tnx for pointing that out. I've pretty much only windows insider mail on my outlook account (and spam) but still worth to opt out from partners in new app settings...
The account is very old, so any 3rd party was already on. Likely I never reviewed MS policies (very wrong)
Oh, and you can even choose the ads layout: between mails (like yahoo) or with a banner (mid-90 style). -
I’m skipping this snapshot because it doesn’t run even with -disable extensions.
-
What does that monocycle mean, I saw it many times, haha
-
@rtransformation Ruarì from QA is a
monounicycle rider. Also, is likely a subtle pun between the browser stabilization process and the same stabilty you may need to ride it. -
@Hadden89 haha,thanks a lot, I don't know how to say that word, so I checked the dictionary which give me that word, haha, I also checked for other dictionaries, seems indeed unicycle is the common used one, Thank you.

@npro Yes, I'm aware

@nutcracker As I get the pure Chromium, I was able to disable som extensions. So today, my Vivaldi starts (only with one extension I left), like a charm.

Huh? How?!

@gryzor
Hi, start Vivaldi with--disable-vivaldi
in a command shell or add it to the desktop shortcut. -

Hi, start Vivaldi with--disable-vivaldi
in a command shell or add it to the desktop shortcut.Oh wow, had totally missed that. So you do that and disable your extensions, then launch Vivaldi and start enabling extensions again one by one?
Btw your screenshot has --disable-extensions, not --disable-vivaldi?
